Is this the official starcraft 2 forum?

I know there is a forum on the main site but to register i need a cd key which i don't have.. This seems enormously dumb as i cannot comment or ask on the forum

Or have i done a disastrous fault anywhere?

No this is not an "official" starcraft 2 forum.

A more accurate answer is the only official forum is the one on the Blizzard site. However, I believe we are one of many official Sc2 fansites.

Not to mention one of the largest and most active forums for SC2 around.

It's "official" in quality but not in support :D The Battle.net forums are the slums of the internet. StarCraft2Forum.org and SCLegacy.com are BY FAR the best fan site communites there are that actively discuss StarCraft 2.

Just close your eyes and imagine that this forum is official and you'll be much better off :D

Yes but well its good to know that you are in a forum that the Dev's watch.

I therefor think its so stupid that they only let people with cd keys (Btw i have warcraft 3, starcraft etc. But the keys doesn't work,i must have screwed up somewhere) discuss in a forum :S
Especially it really feels weird when they are well... ''blizzard''

Of course it's not stupid. There are already enough trolls on the b.net forum as it is. If they could make duplicate accounts, (which is possible without the cd key thing) then it would suck even more.

Also: scLegacy is boring. It's a nice source for some articles, but that's about it. At least the people here are nice and have a sense of humour.

Believe me, the amount of topics that the developers see are so minimal that your chances of being in one is like winning the lottery. Put those odds to better use ... like the lottery :D

I actually am the one who came up with the idea of the Mine Drone. Check my posting history. As far as I know, that's the only user submitted idea that ever made it into the game. (it's still in the editor) Further, Jon has met those people and interviewed them, we have submitted plenty of questions for the q&a batches and have the largest active userbase that I'm aware of.

So blah. The devs watch this forum plenty of times.

That should clear up some confusion.

Also, what do you mean by Mine Drone?

Then you are probably doing it all wrong. xD

But seriously, there's a reason that this has been my favourite forum ever since I first came here.

TeamLiquid is the largest StarCraft community - it is the hub of all SC gaming. But they're more focused on the pro scene.

The two largest SC2 forum communities are sc2armory & sclegacy. I'd mention the battle.net forums, but that place is a cess pool. I wish starcraft.org would come back already. :(

It's not boring because you didn't get used to posting there. I'm sure that many members of many other sites consider this place boring too. :)

Aedus you may want to re-check your numbers there is more disscussion on this site about Sc2 than any of those other sites (with the exception of B.net of course). Though I will grant you both Teamliquid and Sclegacy have been around substanially longer and have dissucssed the original Starcarft more than we have (age being the obvious factor here).
