    In star craft 1 there was much to gain from choosing different races, Like for example Terran Player coul`t give 1 of their comm. Centers to Zerg player to make infected com center or any race Terran or Zerg could give 1 worker to Protoss in order to create new unit limit, which by the way is not something so exciting but still there was some cooperation available if playing with different race. So my point is what are Blizzard doing now to make this tradition go on or it will not matter which race you take, everybody let`s take zerg :) long live the queen by the way!!!!!!!! So my point is Should there be dependence on the races like for example Zerg need terrans help to create super units or Protoss need Zerg to warp in some ancient super weapon or resource building and Terrans need Protoss to unlock some new tech of buildings and units and so on…
     
  2. None of these ideas were really EVER used in multiplayer despite being implemented (And, I mean pretty much never.. as in I haven't seen these used in probably nine years) so I think any ideas should be saved to make each race stand on its own.

    With the exception of the Terran/Protoss team I don't think they would ever work for the zerg or at least create something together without destroying each other...

    Vamp, I don't think he means in a Lore setting; rather, multiplayer bonuses. However, I think this relates back to our superweapon threads (Slightly before your time).

    It's an interesting mechanic, and this idea is actually new (To my knowledge), but I wouldn't like to see it implemented.

    Perhaps in a custom map, but not in vanilla B.net



    However, I think it would be cool if allied races complimented each other in some way.

    Well in the bost basic of senses, assuming they allow you to affect allied targets with abilities, you can use medivacs on Zerg, and the 3 or so Protoss infantry. THere would of course be other skills, but beyond that I can't see Blizzard implimenting anything special, however a mixed team is stronger than a pure team since each race can compensate for the weaknesses of the others.

    I am sure though plenty of UMS maps will crop up with this though.

    Yea it was kind of cool feature :))) but I think that ability belongs to Zerg because Protoss and Terran work together 2 Zerg players V.S. Protoss and Terran could kidnap some of their workers and well hit them with their stone sort of say it will be fun, but this should be compensated some how. Maybe by ability to receive bonus for killed Zerg units or buildings like 50% minerals and gas that should be enough or free warping units for Protoss but longer time like 3 min or 5 min for stronger units.

    I doubt Blizzard deliberately creates matchups like this, but:

    1) Zerg and protoss: If you anti-gravity a baneling, it deals damage to air units.
    2) Zerg and anything: Depending on the stats of corrupted units, you might want to "give" your ally an air unit to corrupt. Considering the cost/benefit ratio, I think you'd only do this if the zerg ally were desperate.
    3) Terran and anything: Like in Warcraft III, healing is autocast. In single-player at least, allied forces automatically use such abilities on your troops. (In the last orc mission of Reign of Chaos, I always sent my heroes back home through Jaina's base, since her priests would heal my troops without forcing me to use my trolls.)

    i think each race should have a unit that could take on another race even if its for a set period of time. like:
    5-7 seconds for mothership type units
    15 seconds for large units
    30 seconds for medium
    60 seconds for small

    So that way if you mind control say a probe you can only have 60seconds to run that probe to an expo build a nexus and destroy the probe befor it converts back into an enemy probe and see's were you were expanding. also would be dangerious if you braught the probe into your main base and didn't use him for anything and forgot about him. probe converts back into the enemy and he has a full view of your core base.

    I disagree with both of you, mind control to all the races doesn`t sound very interesting. 1 race should have mind control I prefer Zerg due to their nature to control other living creatures, other race should have resource generating buildings probably Protoss since their units are stronger but cost more also some drawback should be present when creating these buildings so as to be difficult for the player to play this type of strategy, and finally Terrans should have basic mind control of some basic units like probes, zealots ,drones and zerglings or hydralisks too but without their special abilities, and also have resource trading stations so as to balance between minerals and gas but with time limit like 3 or 5 min per trade and 1000 should be max capacity of the trade . And here is the best part Zerg should corrupt Terran command center in order to train units that can take any other unit on the map, Terran should take a probe in order to build resource trading stations (the probe is consumed) and finally Protoss should kill some Zerg units with the Archon in order to make the Archon gain dark energy which can create dark pylons which generate resources and there you have it no one can live without the other, Zerg need Terran, Terran need Protoss and Protoss need Zerg in order for the game to be more fun… :))))
