multiplayer matches ladder/league question

Hi I'm new to starcraft 2 and am pretty bad, I did the placement 5 matches and got into the bronze league (yay me!) but after 11 loses in a row, am still being matched to people who annihilate me with many victories behind them. Will the game ever match me with other noobie players as bad as me? so far it isin't.

 

Do you ever get even matches or ones where you're favoured?

 

i have the same problem... 80% of the time i get matched with peoples who are favored =.=
i guess thats why my win/loss ratio is so bad XD

and even though i've just lost 3 matches in a row i sudenly just won and got promoted to platnium league oO
while still having more games lost than wins -.-
something isn't fair around here

 

It happens to me to.. Sometimes, I get matched with 10 people in a row, and they are ALL favoured. It sucks >.>

 

It's part of the matching making system... the system won't have a "steady" info on your skill level untill about 20-40 games where they match you up with people with different skill levels. Then eventually you will find even matches, if win the even matches at or around 50% win ratio, it will then match you up with slightly favored to favored to see if you improved. If you win 50%, give or take 1%, of the time itle keep bumping you against higher players to see if you can keep up your win rate.

I was matched up with favored players for 10 matches and after winning most of them, i lost, then i got promoted cuz the system had an idea of where i should be promoted to on the ladder after losing.

There was a long description on how the ladder might work on teamliquids website... cant find it atm tho

 

I used to be bronze when i started, but through hard work in practice i got into top 200 multiple times ^^
