I really wish i have teh uber skills of a computer. In-game starcraft, a computer player can select a variety of different things at the same time. i really wish i could do that. I know i can't, but i can still dream about it. And just sometimes, if the computer opposition was restricted to one at a time, i would have won so many of those close calls.
    Thoughts?

It's why I hate playing against Terran computers. They can nuke five bases AT THE SAME FREAKING TIME. I hate it. It's like playing against a SK player, the micro is so annoying.

Computers cannot adapt to your strategy very effectively. Also they are extremely predictable. However your right. Computers OWN with psionic storm. They can micro it so effectively. Also corsairs disruption web (bye bye terran defense)

    Re: "I Have A Dream"

I agree, the AI's multi-skilling is overpowered in some occasions. The last Protoss mission of Brood War, the Zerg AIs can co-ordinate 20 overlords moving back and forth from their base dropping units in my base. It's very hard to go up against them. And they can scout with their overlords, while microing units on a battle at the same time.

But yeah, most AIs are too predictable. My Zerg enemy always scatter lurker all over the base, and they'll unburrow and walk towards your units....

Martin Luther King Jr. said the same thing and he ended up being one of America's most famous civil rights leaders. So you might be able to become a robot and to speed that process of getting cybernetic enhancements, visit Japan! They have got radioactive lizards, giant space men, pokemon, etc. etc.

Computer AIs are built to give us a hard time. They are there to help us improve our meager skills and they help to lessen the humiliation because they cannot taunt you with "NOOBLET!" or other derogatory terms used over the internet.

    haha nice imagine
yeahmy terran ai nukes like hell too
hate those bloody "5v3 insane comps" maps lol
and hate how they will target your workers if you use them to attack :(

wouldnt it be cool if you were so good that you operated 9 comps at the same time (somehow) and your control was so godly that is was like each unit and building in the game was monitored and controled by a gosu? and yet every unit of yours co-operated in the best teamwork ever

Like you said... Element started it ;)

Besides the point, I was thinking that since we are on the topic of Computer AIs, what was the scariest computer attack that you have ever experienced in your StarCraft days?

    Re: "I Have A Dream"

OMG i have 3 equally gay ones. hope you dont mind me explaining them all :p
    1. 1vs7comps bgh. 20 minutes in. my choke got webed/lurkered/tanked/broodlinged/darkswarm + armies from about 4-5 comp players air and ground all at once pouring in.....gg
    2. 1vs7comps hunters. 3 zergs 4pooled me.....gg
    3. my own custom bgh map 2comps+me vs 5comps, all comps set on insane mode. i got swarmed by two fleets of 10+carriers and +10+ scouts and a whole bonanza a of the zerg air fleet of dev/guard/muta/sourge and one swarm of ultra+hydra. gg

dont those &#$(@%$(*@% love co-ordinated attacks....

    yours?

    Re: "I Have A Dream"

Back to the oiginal comment, a couple of freinds of mine were thinking what if their was a game that was like a hologram. And you commande your troops to move places, but instead of having to tell them to uck for cover or what to do they did it by themselves. And you coul command a whole company of guys as they invaded a town. You could call in artilery strikes where needed and air strikes or backup. The only way i see that this could be possible woul be if one guy was incharge with other human players controling individual squads that did what you said. So like if i wanted one squad to take the factory i would leave it up to the guy incharge of the squad to do it, And so on. I guess this is more like the army but wouldnt that be neat to be able to deligate jobs and task to certian people and that they coul act on what you said? Even if i wasnt a hologram. :-\

    Re: "I Have A Dream"

This approximate idea was being developed in the game Eschaton-Online. Unfortunately, it was cancelled, and I cried for many nights. Regardless, the game was meant to seamlessly integrate computers and humans. You would start the game (MMO) as one of three things, all low-level. Either a ship gunner, a fighter pilot, or a civilian. This was all space-age, so "ships" and "fighters" are space ships and space fighters. You then did things to advance, and when a human above you noticed your skills, they could promote you. Military people advanced into military things, and civilians ran the entire economy, from leading the governments to trading.

The part that relates to your post was that in battles, a human who was in charge of a government would pass orders to their admirals and generals to go make battle. Those human admirals and generals would make plans (RTS style), and then control a battle, filled with humans and computers. The main selling point was that the fleet started out as all comps, but as people came online, they replaced comps. So say the good admiral and bad admiral are the only two players on, they would fight with CPU fleets, but as gunners and ship captains and fighter squadron leaders, etc. came online, they would seamlessly replace the CPU NPCs, and the battle would get interesting.
