Most Noobish thing I've ever seen or done

This thread here for people to post the most noobish thing they've ever seen a person do playing StarCraft or the most noobish thing they've done while playing.

I played against a good friend of mine a while ago who bragged about how good he was playing terrans. He said he hadn't played in a while, and I hadn't either so we played LAN against each other with him as terran and me as protoss. It was hilarious. No kidding, this kid never researched the upgrade for the siege tanks. They were just wandering around shooting, I'd move back and wait for them to go into siege mode. Never happened. It made them so much easier to kill. Never researched cloak for wraith either. I mostly just bottled him in and toyed with him for a while expanding all over the map. Somehow he managed to acquire nukes and scared the bejeus out of me when I heard "NUCLEAR LAUNCH DETECTED". My first thought: Wait... HE HAS NUKES?!?!?!??!?!? But I should not have worried. He nuked his own base by mistake. Fantastic. I moved in with 12 carriers to end his shame. It was hilarious.

 

One time this guy I was playing over b.net attempted to counter my tank Goliath combo with nothing but scouts.

 

Oh my god.. how can someone nuke be that stupid? "hey what's this? ah a nuke! I shall drop it in my base!"
Well if he was a beginner, it could be ok.. for the first game. but I don't think people who haven't even know what starcraft is start on the battlenet..

 

The best part is how he was bragging about how good he was as the terrans. As if he's been playing for years. Not quite I think.

I think that did not go to well for him. hahahaha.

 

Yeah If it's the protoss scout... Well I think I would fall downthe chair cause of laughing..

 

Best thing I ever saw was this one time, think it was a 2v2v2v2 on hunters or some garbage. I drop some marines into this protoss guys workers just for kicks. His ally says "hold on, omw" and I see these shuttles come down. What does he do? Drops reavers. They killed my rines, but they also wrecked his allies' nexus and workers. I nearly shat myself laughing so hard. Apparently he thought since they couldn't hurt his troops, they wouldn't hurt his allies' either.

 

Well once i was playing on 2v2 lost temple as zerg and to make sure no more annoying probes got through i placed a group of 8 zerglings at the ramp and after about 4 minutes of building drones (yes i'm not good at starcraft) the enemy sent a group of 5 marines to my base and of cource (acting like the idoit i was back then) i quickly thought my lings would win the battle and moved my view back to finish a sunken wall, problem was i didn't notice that i had put the zerglings on hold posisition instead of stop and they didn't fight back... when i finally noticed what was happening they had already taken out 7 zerglings out of 8 and stormed my base while i was completely helpless as they destroyed my sunkens while they were in production......

 

Today, I was Protoss as I played a Zerg player on Battle.net.

I realized he had a poor back defense, so I dropped 8 zealots into his base.

He had 4 sunkens, and a small army of lings. And as I killed maybe one sunken and two drones, even though I would have died...

He surrendered and left.

 

i once locked an interceptor down...

 

Oh mine how? I can never catch 'em! I tried just for fun, but they are just too fast..


Actually once I played Protoss against Terran, I wanted to make a little drop of 2 dropships with zealots. Unfortunately I brang the wrong 2 dropships... In which I stored some Dark Archons... Do I have to say they all were dead?

 

Well I stasised my allies carriers once. I clicked on the enemy but an interceptor flew under my cursor at the last second, then it flew back towards its carrier as my arbiter chased it. Needless to say the carrier and about 7 others got stasised along with a few interceptors

My friend to attempted to worker rush me with his drones 10 minutes into the game. That's all the units he had, lol.

i was playing this guy in fast map cause i was really bored and i never play at fast maps.

i was making marines when he brought dragoons >_> hacker...
anyway he said ill just go for dinner (he thought he'd win) and left every unit he has to hold
i got my remaining command center that i lifted and my factory and barrack
made some vultures...
went to his base...
killed everything..
ahhahahahahahaha

anyway i think this thread is in the wrong section

That is probably true. I have no real sense of where to start threads on the forum so I don't know where it should be or how to move it there. Suggestions?

 

I think the thread should be in starcarft original, the lounge, or space junk. Im not sure beyond that and to my knowledge only moderators can move threads so might as well keep on posting until it is moved.

 

lol... those are nothing compared to what i did my 3 game of starcraft.

I was playing terran (my favorite race at the time) and i was buidling some nukes.

I took one of my ghosts to one of my enimies resource outposts (or w/e u want to call them) and pressed nuclear strike.
the problem is.. i didnt press where to put it...
Then my base came under attacked and moved over to my base and left clicked.... i didnt relise i dropped a nuke on myself until
BANG! I was lucky that it only destroyed 4 of my 5 command centers. my other one was at some other minerals... i lost near everything.

P.S. i know that was a simple mistake. but everyone thought it was stupid or noobish.
