    Tough one, i'm gonna have to go with a tie.

    Auron from FFX - He's freakin' hardcore, not to mention that
    he still fights people AFTER he's dead. And doesn't go bragging about it either.
    As far as big sword guys go, he's kickass.

    Alma from the FEAR series - She's just awesome. Flat out. Insanely strong, certifiably insane, and pissed off. Boo ya.

    Mattias Nilson from Mercenaries - He makes me laugh :D

    Illidian - He first was evil, betrayed the Night Elves, caused the Blood Elves to be created, was imprisoned for thousands of years, was freed because he was needed, went to save the world tree, allied with the Night Elves to save Kalimdor, and in the end, helped the Draenei liberate Outland and attempted to destroy the Lich King.

    I think the most awesome game character is......
    Chrono from ChronoTrigger, he's been through the whole time line, beginning to end and has a flying time traveling space ship and has like 20 kitties :D!

    Ssure he maybe only on the snes and ds but he still rocks ;)

    well he's the same guy ... same name. same look. same voice
    but i doubt he could live that long without aging XD
    they just ****ed with fact and reality and threw him in the game

    I like Master Chief, all he cares about is getting a weapon, and killing as many grunts, elites, jackals, brutes, prophets, flood, sentinals, and whatever else he has to get through to save the human race from destruction.

    He's damn good at it too.

    Oh, and he actually has characterization (though it's mostly in the novels).
