I have about five enemies i hate more than anything. 1. Duriel 2.Claw Vipers* 3.Diablo** 4.Dark Archers 5. Venom Lords *- they are my second because they almost always use bash, and is very irritating as a melee class. **- I just hate diablo's high hp and his bone jail thing, on the tp's Durieal is just plain annoying because of his high damage and cold aura. ^_^
Duriel, as I have still not killed the mother****er. Second place goes to anything that's lightning enchanted.
Anything with: -lightning enhanced -immune to both magic and physical damage(how you kill those idk..). Rundown of bosses: Andrial: pretty easy except when her poison keeps hitting since i never carry antidotes. Durial: hate his cold aura, made worse by the very small area you fight him. Not to mention that he can attack you the moment you load the screen, meaning I've sometimes lost a lot of health before I can gauge what to do. Mephisto: Not too bad, but the act doesn't make for good lvling before him, I usually only grow about 4 lvls between Durial and Mephisto. For ranged characters he isn't particularly hard as long as you keep moving between casts, but melee has quite a difficult time with him. Diablo: My personal favorite boss, save except that bone cage on my town portals. Not hard if you're ranged and have some fire resistance. However, that fire circle he sends out can feel a bit cheap when he casts it multiple times in a row. Baal: Not too bad until he multiplies himself and you end up fighting 2-3 of him at once, especially since you have to kill each one and they all use spells undependantly, leading to literally no time between damage bombardment.
I would agree with fenix, i simply hate that boss, but i got past duriel by switching between 100dmg pole arm and 2 50dmg long swords, it took 39 times to die before he was brough down, and i had 5 hp whn he died. lol
As a barb, I got stuck at Duriel when I didn't spec appropriately. Another time, my spec owned him. I was a frenzy barb, and also had a 30 % speed bonus from some foot gear, which meant I would get ridiculously fast, running circles around him. My speed would feel "regular" when under his cold aura. The axe-wielding scarabs that shoot lightning in all direction all the time, including when they die, in act 2 are horrible for a melee barb though.
Those scarabs are not too bad for me cause I used to use a throwing knife/bow on them from a distance and just wore them down. For me the worst were those physical immune things. Cause I used to play Amazon or a pet based druid mostly. And both did no magical damage what so ever in my set up. So I hit 2nd difficulty and got to those physical immune ones and I was screwed. I had to use a thousand throwing potions on them. And drain my cash reserves to do so. Grrr to the physical immune things.
let's see... i'd go with Lord de Seis, hell, with these attributes: - Extra Strong, Aura Enchanted (fanatacism) (starts with those naturally, being super unique) - teleportation - magic resistant being magic resistant pretty much puts all of his resists at 95%, with 2 of them being immune. he always spawns with minions, and the Extra Strong + Fanatacism aura makes his minions even stronger. then add teleportation so he can heal. oh, and forget physical attacks, because he and his minions can cast Iron Maiden. or Ancient Kaa the Soulless: - starts with: Magic Resistant, Extra Strong, Lightning Enchanted - teleportation - multishot oh joy. good old lightning enchanted + multishot, plus teleportation. at least he doesn't have iron maiden. and lastly, Ismail Vilehand. - Extra Fast, Cursed - Cold Enchanted - Fire enchanted this combo makes him immune to cold, so you won't be able to slow him down. extra fast + cursed means he's going to hit and curse you before you can get away. he'll be in your face, all the time, when you kill him... and that's when fire enchanted kicks in. oh joy.
heh. how about Invulnerable Diablo? he has immunity to absolutely everything, I met him once in Hell difficulty, iseriosuly have no clue how you kill him.
I found something better, it just annoys me. Baal. I hate the fact that he is hard to kill but i also hate it when he drops crap rare items. like The Dragon Chang Spear, the most useless Rare item he can drop for you. hahahahaha crap rare items doesn't seem possible eh?
the dragon chang is a unique item, not rare. and if you don't think uniques can be crappy, you've never played D1 pre-expansion. even the original unique items got a major boost after patch 1.09. they were truly useless before that.
idk...I remember Mindcry was pretty useful. Why wouldn't you want a staff with 50+ guardian charges when using a mage? Sadly my mage never got one, while my dad got it at least 3 times...all those Archbishop Lazarus runs wasted... I say the most fun thing about Diablo multiplayer was when many players would be in a room full of monsters and someone decides to Chain Lighting the thing, and everything dies, including the other players nearby
a combo I hate is multiple shot cold enchanted extra strong. There 3 are basic that make a ranged monster really annoying. multiple shot of arrow that slow you so you can't run away and each shot is extra strong. Imagine the boss and all his minions doing this you are down easy XD. still it worse when you had other like stone skin, lightning enchanced, physical and magic immunity etc (I mean added to the 1 ones)
lol, cold enchanted, extra fast, extra strong, fanatacism enchanted with minions? that would be pretty annoying too.
I remember back in the day I never patched my Diablo 1 past 1.04. I think it was. Because in that patch you could make yourself unkilable simply by having less current HP then all of the +HP gear on you then take off all the +HP gear and you'd have a negative HP and be unkillable. Later patches fixed this though. But it was an exploit everyone used.
"Pleeeease, no hurt, no kill. Keep alive and next time good bring to you." - Gharbad the Weak -I dont think I'll ever forget this saying from diablo 1. For whatever reason my dad gave him the nickname Garbanzo Bean, and we used that name for years. It was a good thing my parents didn't notice the M rating when they gave it to us when I was ~11 and Kurai 8.
