More System Requirements Information

There's still hope, though, for the older computers because this is just the requirements for the beta which should be highly unoptimized compared to the final release.

My system doesn't even come close to that.

I hope it will run it on low smoothly at least.

 

Remember, that's unoptimized beta requirements so it'll run a bit better in the final version but if you don't have a dual core, I'd probably get ready to upgrade anyways for the full effect. As I've heard, the WarCraft 3 beta ran terribly on some computers that actually ran the game smoothly in the final release.

my 2+ year old laptop has the ram and dual core, not the graphics though, but playing on low settings is perfectly fine for me.

To the above 2GB posters, yes, you will definitely need to upgrade for best performance especially if you're going to be using Vista. Luckily, 2GB is like 20$.

 

i'm most likely going to get the new Intel core i7 920 with 6gb ram and a single 280x radieon 1gb graphics card or a duel sli or crossfire 512mb. prolly gona drop a good 1500$ including monitor and taxes

 

No such thing as a 280x Radeon. I think you mean nVidia GeForce GTX280. In which case, I feel I should let you know, that's overkill for StarCraft 2. An i7 is nice to have though for future proofing your system.

i got windows 7 but unlike vista they run sooooo smooth with 2gb of ram..
But i'll surely gonna need a mem upgrade to have the game run smooth 2..

 

Seriously, nobody knows you here. No need to brag about stuff. Also, Starcraft 2 does not even need half of that to run fine.

 

2GB memory is just laughable. There should be nowhere near that amount of data.
