Would someone watch this replay and tell me what I did wrong?

In the end of the game my score was about 4,000 higher. I love Star Craft, and have been waiting for this game since I was like 11, but I'm getting really discouraged, frustrated, and annoyed. Was it just my unit choice? Should I have gone mutalisks? Is my micro crappy enough to lose me the game?

Well, your beginning game was good. However, you had your expansion for almost the entire game with 3-4 drones on it, and you expanded a 3rd time but never did anything with the expo. During the very short time he had his up and running he pulled out more minerals then you did your entire time.

Next, I dont understand why you put your spire so far away. That makes no sense, zerg have no real need of space for anything but hatcheries, any structure as expensive and valuable as a spire should be closer to the rest of your base.

Lastly, you stated "I dont understand sc anymore" Charging into 4 tanks backs up by marines and medics in bw with hydras and zerglings was a recipe for disaster... why would it change in sc2? Furthermore, you KNOW how powerful tanks are, if they are seiged they are MONSTERS.

Now, those are the things you did wrong. Next time, get an air presence, and keep it. Dont lose your spire like that, it was a dumb mistake, and mistakes DO happen, but learn from it. Also, unless you outnumber em like 4 to 1 and can lose alot of units dont attack seiged tanks headon with ground units. Thats what mutas, broodlords, infestors, and burrowed roaches are for. Burrow underneath the tanks, pop out focus fire the tanks, while the rest of your army attacks.

Expanding is great, but if you dont use the expos you may as well have those hatcheries in your main base. A LOT of people think zerg cant survive/win unless they expand. Thats false. Zerg expand easier then the other races, and its a tad more important then it is for the others. However people who believe a zerg cant 1 base and win are incorrect.

    Okay.

So, generally, I just ****ed up, haha.

Thanks for the advice, man—it's taken to heart.

its all good, as long as you dont fall into the trap of "its not me, its the race" you'll do fine :)
