Why is this important you ask? Because Karune said that the beta couldn't start until this was implemented. So, there's one milestone passed.

 

So if you opt in, you might be chosen for the beta? or is it beta codes only?

 

Opt-in lets you randomly get selected.

 

Yes! I can finally add WoW to my bnet account!

 

Good news for the WoW players. Bad news for all others. Less chance to get selected with 10 million others who apply... lol

 

For NA, there's no difference.
