SC:L has posted a full report on the lore panel at blizzzzzzzzzzzzcon (yes thats the way i say it) and it has a huge amount of new evidence that we can use to further speculate: First of all i just figured out that my theory of zeratul going on an information hunt after brood war was correct so yay! Also we have new info on mengsk's son which you can find links to at the bottem of the post. Among things said it seems my theory of the protoss (under artanis's leadership) going on a mega strike to retake auir was 95% wrong as it seems from the lore panel that still tensions are very high between khala followers and dark templar which of cource puts my theory in a box, sets it on fire and then tosses it into a black hole and then warps the backhole into another universe. YES! I predicted in one of my own threads I think it was that Valerian Mengsk would likely make it into SC2. I wish I could send myself minerals. Gotta read this editorial now. I'll either edit/make a new post with thoughts.
More information: It turns out sc:l has also updated its story page and is again filled with interesting info on the story line as well as many other things. It also has information on something called The Mobius foundation which specilizes in finding and buying Xel'naga artifacts which could mean they could be controled by Valerian Mengsk (he likes artifacts). Anyway SC:L also has afew "new" images of planet cave and after seeing these i'm beginning to think it might be a little more than your standard rock covered planet..... on the 3rd link or art 05 it looks like there was like a battle (because it looks like theres blood on the ground in that image) or something and only 1 person survived and it looks like a protoss trying to illuminate the area using his blade maybe its zeratul but that protoss kinda looks small maybe a young Zeratul? cause i think hes blade was green not sure wat the other dark templar blades colors were thou. and maybe i am just throwing this out here dont go crazy and yell just a thought but mayb the rock planet is the Xel'Naga home world?
I am 99.75% sure that is zeratul and planet cave being a Xel'naga homework ummmm infact maybe as it seems to have strange buildings on it that resemble the only piece of xel tech we have seen yet: the temple. Or of cource it could just be a planet thats filled with xel tech and a few hybrids.
I understood it because I'm a sucker and I've bought every Blizzard book. Some of them are good but two or three of the authors... meh.
I think those pics of the caves are very similar to where you see Zeratul in the trailer video, it might even be the same place. If so, then it's likely it's another place where hybrids are being developed.
