Minerals?

So I'm busy for a couple of days and can't come to the forums. When I get back, I see that I have 9 minerals. i go to my bank and I have 0 stored in there. Did another mineral reset happen?!?!?!? Cause... I'm pretty sure that I may have had over 9000 minerals (no pun intended). So if someone could explain to me what happened, I'd appreciate it. If this question has already been answered elsewhere, then I'm sorry but I haven't been on the forums recently.

 

shop change + data corruption = FAIL

 

It was more data sotrage = fail, which led to a shop change and everything isn't back online yet.

Might as well remove the shop entirely while we're at it...

Unless there's any plan of reassigning mineral counts; that'd be nice.

 

The current plan is to take advantage of a system that can give people minerals regressively. It won't be the same as everyone keeping what they already had but some people should start out with a decent amount of minerals versus the goose egg everyone had last time.

Okay, after that rant, why can't we just EARN the pets in... tourneys?
This IS a SCII forum right?
Maybe they can be chosen to represent our playing style.

 

We did have a backup, several actually, they didn't work right hence why we are changing software.

 

agreed, its like an MMO that keeps erasing its database, its not worth playing it anymore

 

well, the shop is good if the mineral don't restart often, i losed only 200 mineral when it restart so i don't care much

 

We should make the shop system reward based, and unlimited.

E.G. post 1000 times, get a Colossus?
Get Hero rank, get a Thor?

Aaargh! Make it stop... Make it stop... When wil this system finally be finished? I thought it was up and running already, and that it would only reset once to get everyone on the same level again. -since giving back minerals and items exactly right was a complete disaster, I only got half of my near 20000 back, then it went away again-

 

Total I have lost about 40 thousand minerals due to resets. Do you see me complaining? No, just bare with it, things will be back up and running when they get up and running, stop complaining. Post constructively like you always have (most of you) and things will be fine.

 

Guys the reason the bank and everything else isn't currently available and hasn't been for some time is because I never finsihed bringing everything online. The reason everyones minerals are currently set to 0 is because that is the first step in applying a recursive formula that will distribute minerals for past contributions. I would have had this done and everything but the shop online (waiting on Kuvasz's new pets for this one) a week ago but I have been slammed by several things time wise and never got an opportunity to finish what I started. Once I have time to finish and finalize the formula everyone will have atleast 500 minerals and most likely 1000+ plus along with the ability to access the bank and gain minerals from posts again.

 

I've had very little feedback on the pets, hence the delay. But now I've given up on making it democratic and will just work with Itza's and my ideas for lack of participation from others. Should be finished this weekend.

 

Don't feel rushed, I still need to finish fine tuning everything before I (or whoever uploads them) need the pet icons. Also, I havn't commented in your other thread but the icons look awsome kuvasz.
