Minerals?

I keep seeing people talk about earning minerals? How do i earn minerals? Can i earn minerals? Where can I check my mineral amount? Theses are but a few of the questions i have

Our shop system (minerals, items, etc.) is on its way, so currently there is no way to earn minerals or own items. You will be able to earn them in several ways but I can't find my post where I gave a detailed description of it. It probably disappeared like all the other useful posts... damn overhaul.

As kuvasz said, since the site was updated the minerals/items system is not in place yet. But basically, here is how it worked.

You earn minerals one of three ways:
A) Posting. Each post (depending on its length) will earn you minerals. Of course, you can't post simply to earn minerals - it is pretty easy to tell and the mods will penalize you for this type of thing.
B) Interest. Each member has an interest rate if you put what minerals you do have in the bank. It starts at 0.1% per day, but depending on how you contribute to the forums you can get rewards that involve a higher interest rate.
C) General contributions. Good posting, new ideas, and general good-will do not get unnoticed by the mods. Forum contests can also be a source of revenue.

This is how it worked before the change to vB, but I imagine the minerals system will stay more or less the same. Minerals you earn can then be used to "buy" shop items - like pets, collectibles, etc. It's simply a fun way to be involved in this Starcraft community!

talking about stuff like this, how come i dont ahve my pets?(on the other hand i may have missed them, but they arent in inventory either, so)

you had to PM your designated mod (assigned by the first letter of your username)
pm him all the pets you had and you shall receive your pets (assuming this service is still available)

with so many reminders from the mods, im surprised you didn't notice any jff

If you set the option, do thread starters get the minerals people have to pay to view and/or post in the thread or does it just get deleted from people and the thread starter doesn't get anything?

 

I can't imagine why we would need either of those

Well this is one way to find out, but what I was here before they had a tutorial/FAQ section which really helped lots of people. If its not here yet it will be the mods are still working on the forum.

And a way to earn minerals is by posting, joining some events, there are lots of ways. use proper grammar, sentences etc. and you'll be rich in no time. Just don't spam or you will LOSE your minerals. (Spam in the Space Junk).
