Can someone please explain the game to me?

I tried it for around 3 minutes and from what I got of it, it seems like a 3d version of MSpaint where you literally build whatever you want to pixel by pixel. What am I missing? What's the aim of the game?

Play the survival mode not the world builder thingy.

 

He's likely playing the free version, for which that is a decent enough description.

 

Good lord! That's THOUSANDS of wasted hours! omg, I can barely believe it...

 

I feel like there's a thread we could direct this fellow to in space junk somewhere.

 

I feel like bursting Stirlitz's bubble by mentioning that you can import 3D elements into the game.

 

Even with 3d elements or whatever... Why would someone spend so much time in an ultra high-end version of MS paint?
I did a google search for minecraft pics and saw whole cities and villages and forests and thinking that someone took the time to build them pixel-by-pixel or at least box-by-box makes my head hurt!

 

In survival mode you mine the stone and chop down the trees and fight off hordes of zombies to build your castle so that's where the satisfaction and fun comes from.

 

You can also create gates into (the equivalent of) hell, fighting undead pigmen and giant floating creatures.

 

My enjoyment comes from building a minimal shelter, and losing myself underground for hours on end.

 

i seem to love minecraft at the moment but its does get kinda boring after some time.
btw im playing a cracked version of the game but i may buy the game some time later.. who knows ^^

 

It's like 15EU. Just buy the damn game.
