I haven't really seen it in the BR's
But will range be able to run away, attack. and continue running before a melee hits him?
Like in Brood War, Vulture vs Zealot, STank vs Ling. etc. etc.
I was never really sure if this was a "glitch" witch wasn't intended because I know in Warcraft3 if a Rifleman tries to do this vs a grunt, the grunt grows magical arms and still attacks the Rifleman, I k now these are two completely different games, but they are both RTS and I kind of figured if that wasn't intended in Starcraft they would of made sure it wouldn't happen in their next RTS.

Yes, but every time they attack, they pause, so the melee units get closer. Depending on RoF, reaction speed, etc, this could end up being a losing strategy.

The old cobra could attack and move simultaneously, but the siege tank doesn't, as apparently that's overpowered vs slower melee units.

So they won't be able to do it forever. Eventually the melee unit will catch up?

Unless you've got some ridiculously fast, very low cooldown ranged unit. Like, maybe, a stimmed marine. But you're wasting a lot of damage that way.

Well yeah it wasn't something that you did late game really. It was mostly early game.
The one that I used most was Dragoon Vs Zealot early game, if I went goons and he went Zealots.

You can still do that. Why wouldn't you? Dragoons can't fire and move simultaneously, and neither can stalkers, but I believe stalkers are a bit faster than dragoons. If anything, it's a bit easier trying that in StarCraft II.
