Merc Compund incompatible for researching Terran Upgrades

I preferred the idea of researching useful upgrades for my Marines and Medics in an Academy. The notion of researching of researching U-2338 Shells for the Standard Gauss Rifle is usually found in the militart Research and Development department, not in some off-world mercenary compound. I hope Blizzard will make some adjustments to the current building model and description in the near future. What do you think about the compatibility in the aforementioned issue?

Err, isn't this about a different aspect of the Merc Haven? The other one is about not liking that the building looks like a bar. This thread on the other hand is about the sillyness of upgrading a gun's ammunition in a bar and a possible change in the idea of the Merc Haven.

As for the subject, I thought all those upgrades would be in the tech lab (the Barracks' add-on) and the Merc Haven would only provide the ability to build Reapers.

 

Read the rest of the other thread, man. Plenty of room for these aspects there.

Can somebody merge these threads?
