Is the nanobot injectors an upgrade? Does it have a button? If it does I can't seem to find it. And what would the requirement be for the stabilizer med-pack?
The Medic unit is a part of the Liberty (Campaign) dependency. This dependency also contains "Story Mode Tech - (Medic) Nanobot Injectors" and "Story Mode Tech - (Medic) Stabilizer Medpacks" as upgrades as well as "Use Stabilizer Medpacks (Campaign)" as a requirement. I also cannot find a button for the nanobot injectors, while I can find one for the stabilizer medpacks.
Do you remember what each of the two campaign upgrade does? It has been a long time since I finished the campaign. I basically want to create a building with the two medic upgrades.
I haven't finished the campaign, but from the editor it looks like the nanos make the healing 20% faster, while the medpacks made it cost 1/4 as much energy and heal twice as much. At least that's what I gathered.
EMR has it on the head. Lets you heal two units at once and halves the energy (which means you heal two units for the price of one) and the nanos make you heal faster.
Can you attach the add ons to buildings in the editor? Like can you attach a physics lab to a barracks in the terrain editor?
I'm not sure. Have you tried placing them next to each other and seeing if they attached in-game? If not, I'm sure there is a trigger related to it, and you might want to try selecting the placed attachment/barracks and bringing up some sort of properties menu.
I tried placing the attachment next to the right building in the editor but it doesn't change. Looks like I am going to have to do some discovering with triggers.
There is nothing in the object properties of the addon or host building i can see either. I am going through the triggers now.
ok I went through the triggers. I thought of maybe the 'issue order' or add 'behavior' under the Unit category. You have to add a ability for the unit and only thing that makes sense to me would be the tech lab morph abilities. I am not sure if it will work. Has anyone got any advice or feedback?
If you are still having issues with it, I would suggest trying sc2mapster. I wish blizzard would make complete instructions for their editors.
I worked it out. Turns out you don't need triggers or property changes. You just need to place the addon in a certain position next to the main building and make sure it is the right addon. Eg attaching a tech lab(barracks) to a barracks not to a factory.
That is definitely what I told you to do at the start of the thread. ;D Glad you solved your problem.
