That Matt Horner guy seems to good to be true. He tries to keep Raynor in line, and judging from his clothes, he's a defector from the Dominion, and he doesn't look like just any low-level officer. I think he'll pull a Samir Duran on either Tychus or Raynor.

or maybe raynor will pull a duran on horner and tychus :O

Dominion spy... Or some Spy... I just don't think he'll stay on the same side as Raynor throughout the game, but who knows... he might. I sense a conflict/subplot between Tychus and Matt, they seem polar opposites except for the common aquantance, that being Raynor himself..

I mean he was with Raynors squad or whatever since the beginning and I don't think he is some spy or some guy working for someone else because he always been with the Sons of Korhal and with Raynor.

If you read the Queen of Blades book Matt almost wants to hump Raynor's leg.

    I smell a man crush.

Horner has had a great deal of time to stab Raynor in the back, sure, he was with the Sons of Korhal, but he didn't like Mengsk being so genocidical. Horner kind of looked up to Jimbo after he pulled a ribby on Mengsk, i don't think he will betray him.

And i agree with Major Willy on Queen of Blades....

Ah, the conspiracy theorists are at work already. Well, I think that Raynor could use someone organized like Matt. Maybe Matt has a secret past that is haunting him and will make him crash the ship or something. Or maybe he is actually Tassadar in a face mask.

Of course, a Raynor/Horner man crush would be cool too.

as pointed out by ShdwyTemplar, Matt Horner will not be betraying Jim Raynor. He is trustworthy, idealistic, and would probably die before siding with Mengsk.

Tychus Findlay though... that dude is up to something, I swear...

Since there are alternate ways of playing, I think that maybe in the Terran campaign you do something to tick off Tychus so much that he'll point you out to Megnsk.

I don't think he is intelligent enough to come up with much of a plan.

    "Um...Kill Raynor...Yes! That would mean betraying him...right?...Um...how do I do that....er..."
*walks right up to Raynor on the crowded Hyperion bridge and shoots him*
    "Yeah! I betrayed someone!"
*Horner throws him in the brig*
    "Aww...I didn't expect this."

Tychus strikes me as the best killer on the Hyperion. Just cuz he's big doesn't mean he's dumb. Although he certainly could be dumb.

He wouldn't be up in the bridge along with Raynor, the leader of their whole rebel fleet, and his 2nd in command Matt Horner. Raynor probably thinks he's a good infantry tactician of some sort, or maybe some kind of "bridge" between raynor and the simple soldiers that fight for him.

In any case, I don't think they brought him over there because he's in good shape.

Tychus has neuro implants like any other "culturally challanged" Marine. It is more likely that Matt would betray him wich is already unlikely.
Raynor needs a reason to carry on and Matt Horner plays that role... at least until Raynor has some sucsess.... Did I just raise a Death Flag?
Do we have a "Casino" where we can bet on having certain story/gameplay events appear in SC2?

Ah yes, the neuro implants. I forgot about those. I still think that Matt can be trusted, although it might be kind of fun to see what would happen if he betrayed Raynor.
