hehe saw this earlier. im just so shocked there was no chat in that game at all. i totally would have lol'd and said something like "that was awesome" if i lost to that
Dude, just imagine the potential power this tactic has if Transfusion is smartcast (and can still be used on units). EDIT: Watched it without sound the first time, so my point is moot.
Well, he did say him and his ally were talking over vent, so no in game chat from them. Also, I've noticed that you only see the chats of All and Ally chat, so the opponents may have been talking to each other, but he wouldn't have been able to know what they said.
ok, screw the above video, watch this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmFJUOJpUpI HOLY NUTS. mass queens in a pro tournament match.
Wrong one. Try http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0eu0VRyM-4 http://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=_DP7Pn0aG_0&feature=watch_response
After seeing this I was inspired to try it myself (for laughs of course). Ended up doing it with my roommate in 2's. Creephighway or Nydus network were the only options. The later the game went on the easier it was to counter the queens. However, I found immense trouble with static defense (photon cannons, bunkers, and spine crawlers) since queens do terrible damage to buildings. All in all fun attempts.
I found researching ovie speed as soon as you hit tier 2 let's you get the creep highway going rather comfortably. Pushing with spinecrawlers seems to help as well. It definitely has potential. Seems to require both more micro and macro though. Elements like the fact you can't transfuse from unit portraits (and this build is pretty dependent on abusing transfusion) and Queens can't be rally'd (that I know about....unless they are on a worker rally point?) increase the amount of finesse required.
I encountered this in a game against some plats but my teammate and I just came and destroyed it, and then won the game. They couldn't do much damage to my base before we fought it off.
