Mass Effect

Is a very interesting game. It's like KOTOR except good. Any of you have/played it?

 

I've played it, the experience is amazing. Definitely an Xbox game or PC game to pickup ^.^

Wrex is such an awesome ally.

Very very good story to it. Makes you proud to be from the Milky Way.

 

I've played it and quite enjoyed it. It's pretty awesome on PC too and improved from the Xbox 360 version.

Wrex is okay ally, he is good for soaking up damage but since my shepard is a soldier with shock trooper I really dont need him so I use Liara and Garrus right now and I have all the Spectre weapons equiped on them.

Mass Effect was one of the few games I could play many times over. The only thing bad about was that the side quests seem kinda bland.

 

Yeah sidequests took too long.

My very first game, my Shepard was an Adept.

When I use a soldier, I use Garrus and Liara. Sometimes I switch Garrus for Tali however.

Do you have lvl ten spectre gear?

 

I made my guy a Vanguard (Biotic/Combat meld) with an emphasis on Pistols and offensive biotics....I usually team with Ashley and Garrus, though Garrus and Kaiden are pretty much interchangable in my lineup (They're both imba snipers)

 

Vangaurds are very fun, but the meld classes you should do after you get certain acheivements, because you will be able to add one extra ability to them to help out in a weak spot.

What weapons can vanguards lvl up in again? Pistols and Shotgus right?

 

I haven't had any problems playing on normal...Maybe I'm just awesome.

And yeah, Pistols and Shotguns, though Shotguns kinda suck. Mostly, against the hard guys, I cast Lift then Master Marksman. That pretty much does it.

 

Get carnage, it shoots a rocket from the shotgun.

Normal isn't hard at all, wait till you get higher up, at normal, only bosses and sub-bosses are near your lvl, though they are slightly higher. At the highest ones, every enemy is higher lvl then you.

 

Yeah, i got Carnage. Meh. I just sit and shoot from cover mostly. Also, Master Marksman is just epic. 2 shots per second, 50% overheat, and added damage. Not to mention all the +damage I get from leveling up my pistols.

And Master Throw is hella strong, it needs to effect more enviromental items

 

You can get Biotic Amps that will allow you to effect more of the environment. They are very rare, and you have to get a special liscense to buy them. It's the Asari women in the bar on the presiduim, she sends you on some sidequest. and you get a liscense for it.

Assassinate is f@cking awesome. Master that is. Overkill is pretty schweet too.

My personal favorite skill is Warp. I don't think Vangaurds can use it though. Maybe that is Stasis.

 

I'm not sure if I have level 10 spectre weapons or not, I'm only on my second play through and I played it through the normal difficulty and it was pretty easy.

I've never really used tali much so i might try her switching her out with garrus every now and then but I like garrus so far.

Yea, I only did a few side-quests just to get some extra cash and items and to get the special talent commando/shocktrooper because most of them are kind of repeative compared to the main missions.

Also has anyone tried out that new free downloadable content that adds a new race and like a 90 mintue mission? its called something like burning sky.

 

Bringing down the sky I believe, it is fun, you meet a new alien race there.

If you do every single side mission, and collect every possible ore and gas deposite, you will just barely reach lvl 50 before going to Ilos, if you don't make it to that lvl by then, then you will have to wait until your next game to get lvl X Spectre gear.

 

Dark, Vanguards get Warp, I just don't care much for it....My Combat specialist has toxic rounds, so there's no need for another DoT

 

There is a very powerful one they don't get. Stasis, or another one, I can't remember what it is called.

I like proton rounds more, cuts through shielding like it isn't there. Ofc it has no real effect on bio enemies. I recommend you use toxic rounds on an assault riffle, it has the best effect.

 

Toxic rounds with the assault rifle is what I said my combat specialist has. I personally have a pistol with Hammerhead rounds (+force) and a High Calibur Barrel (+damage/power, -shots per overheat). Boom. Headshot.

 

You didn't say it was on the assault riffle.

Put the high explosive rounds on the sniper, in tandem with assassinate, it is so powerful.
