    That actually makes me excited, to know I could do something like replace the Immortal with a Soul Reaver and actually play it in melee, then replace the spray fire Colossus with the focus one. Hope has returned!

    With all the possibilities the editor holds, SC2 will have immense replayability.

    ps let's just make the spray fire a mod and focus fire the default... I'd be totally fine with that

    If Blizzard realizes the spray fire sucks.

    I can't wait to customize my army for melee play. There could be leauges where you use your custom armies as long as they comply to a certain criteria.

    @psi:
    That would be impossible to inforce in competitive play, since so many different variables would have to be considered. There would have to be 10 criteria alone when looking at a new worker unit.

    This new map editor is amazing. Both melee and UMS will benefit from this improvement, and with such a large fan base, it is a given that a ton of new and unique maps will be released fairly quickly for b.net play.

    Wow, that's just flat out AWESOME. I'll have to get my mapping head back on when this comes out.

    This has to be the best map editor news I've heard yet. I can't wait for Starcraft II to come out - after beating the single player campaign I know I'll have an amazing time creating custom missions. Sweetness.

    I'm far from the best at mapmaking, but this is awesome news nonetheless. I wonder if they'll make mapmaking more user friendly in general too. I always found the trigger system to be really confusing. But then again I've never really been tech savvy. :confused:

    ftw, part of this isnt really anything new though, you could create custom races in wc3's editor, only part that is new is the actually "choosing" the race in the lobby.

    Although, the clarification in this aspect is always nice ;D

    edit: For those looking foward to such implementations i suggest you check out some of the custom community made maps for wc3, many feature new races completely custom made - models buildings spells etc. Gives a good example of what to expect, and more, in sc2 ;D

    Yay! Uber map editor! I'm really excited for this part of the game. I am definitely going to put the Reaver back into the Protoss tech tree for some of the custom maps and/or games I make. :D
