So the game itself I can run perfectly on medium settings and if I wanted could probably run on high, however whenever a cinematic plays it is almost unwatchable. I saw somewhere that others were having this same problem and had fixed it by updating their video card drivers. I did this the choppiness got much better but the fps is still pretty low and the sound is still horrifically out of sync... and this is on standard definition mind you. Yet I can run Crysis without too much trouble on the higher settings...

I have a Nvidia 9800 GTs card, a core 2 duo 2.56Ghz processor, 4 gb of ram, at least 150gb of free hard drive space, and windows vista 64 bit...

There is absolutely NO reason I can think of that my comp should be having even the slightest trouble with anything in this game let alone the cinematics....

Any advice would be most appreciated, thanks!

Does the sound tab say the actual name of the device?

Sounds like you are SOL for driver updates on this thing for audio. Someone reported that going into their sound options and disabling unit sounds helped fix their issue. Maybe give that a shot (or play around with the sound options until something works for you). Then again, you said it was in the cinimas... have you tried defraging your machine?
