Hey all. I was playing the "Echoes of the Future" map in the Wings of Liberty campaign. I had saved the game yesterday, then the patch came out today. It downloaded automatically, then when I went into game to resume my game from last night, it said "You need to revert to older version to play this saved game". Okay, no problem. It loaded up fine. I got 50+ kills with Zeratul, but no achievement. I beat the map at around 18 minutes. No achievement. I was playing on HARD difficulty level. I went to the mission archive afterwards, and replayed the level. I saved the game, and reloaded it. No "You need older version to play this saved game" so I'm assuming the new saved game is using the patch. Okay, so far so good. I got 50 kills with Zeratul, but no achievement. What gives? Why aren't the achievements being awarded in both situations?
No, he's right. Anyone who had a saved game before today will not get achievements for that mission. Brilliantly to play a saved game which is old (patch wise) SC2 throws you off of Battle.net to play the mission without the new updates... and since you're not on Battle.net you won't get the achievements.
^ That must be it. When you retried the mission with the newest patch, you forgot to re-log onto battle.net beforehand, so you didn't get the achievement.
