Seriously, buy it! It's awesome! And it's only 10 dollars! Anyway, to get an idea on what's it about: Teaser Trailer: Interview With the Developers: Totalbiscuit's WTF is... series:
I bought it earlier today after TB said it was worth a try. Best game I've bought in months. No bugs whatsoever so far, since the Steam version is patched already. Exceptionally good graphics for such a game. Really like the style. So many combos, it's incredible. Been playing all day, and still finding new stuff. To top it all off, which isn't mentioned in most vids: the game is absolutely hilarious. From the funny voice acting to the many easter eggs and references to other games and movies. Can't get enough of it. To quote the Harbinger from Mass Effect 2 (seems fitting) "THE FORCES OF THE UNIVERSE BEND TO ME" Now I shall go kill more stuff, with a big smile on my face and an M60 in my hand. Yes, and M60.
The blacksmith made it using only a paperclip and a shotgun. Any place to see full controls? Like how excatly do staff abilities work and all ways of casting spells? (I managed to get a colorful border around me instead of casting several times, no idea how or what it does) ED: I think I got it, will try tomorrow
Controls are amazing. Hold down left mouse button to move somewhere. Hold down right mouse button to charge blast attacks / channel beam attacks. Hold down shift + right click to use area of effect. Hold down shift + left click to use your weapon. (staff is only for conjuring the elements) Click middle mouse button to cast on self. Tip: element + shield cast on self = temp immunity to that element, but you can't heal yourself until it wears off.
Immunity is what I was talking about. Also, staff abilities are middle mouse button with no elements prepared, but there's cooldown on those
The game was great once I figured out I have to use the sword on the rope in the first room. How dumb.
