    This isn't news.
Thhere have been viruses for every OS under the sun for years, and just last year an air was hacked using a bug in flash (another reason not to trust it)

Oh but I should point out that just as the Macs is seeing more attacks againts it, as Firefox gains popularity, expect more people to try and poke the security holes (yes it has them, bugs cannot be eliminated completley, ever) Remember that next time you claim that FF is safe and negleect to run your antivirus software.

Yeah, but as a rule, FireFox is safer.

However, no OS, no browser, no antivirus is a substitute for safe, smart surfing.

Well most browsers are safer than IE since they get updated more, but I was merely remarking that it isn't the impervious brick wall some people make it out as. Same as the Mac having viruses despite claims to the contrary.

You should always take security into your own hands, both by using anti-virus software, and being smart about where you go and what you download.

This isn't a virus. It is a trojan. It requires that the user deliberately install it and give it administrator privileges. No operating system can be safe from this kind of attack. Just not downloading the pirated software is enough to keep any Mac safe and no anti-virus software is required.

This cannot be installed on any OS X computer without a user intentionally installing it.
