Mac Patch Mirror?

    Hi,

I have the same problem as tons of other people and am unable to run SC2 because the patch process fails stops at 65%. It specifically fails on sc2-15405-16117-Uni-OSX-enUS-game.

So, is there a mirror of the Mac patch? I've found a few links to the Windows one.

    Cheers,
    Ratty

Awesome, is there a shared folder that someone is going to use to keep these updated? Perhaps I'll add these to my update list I am keeping track of as well (although I have no access to a Mac to keep the stuff up-to-date myself).

Thx for this Ratty, how exactly did you get it working? I have the same problems on Mac except on the enGB version. Would really like to get this tied up as nothing seems to work...very frustrating.

Not too sure what the impact will be, but I managed to get past the patch by downloading Ratty's enUS files and just renamed the enUS->enGB portion of the files. Kicked off the update and it went through 100%. So thanx Ratty & Xev.

Ratty I downloaded the files (Thank you so much btw) but I'm not really Mac savvy and I was wondering how exactly do I execute them, or where do I add them into the application?

For reference, every time I start SC2 up a black screen comes up and a box in front of it says you need the update, click ok to download, and when I click ok the entire program just crashes. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've been dying to play this game.

I never really tested patching using these files, but it should just be a base of putting everything in your SC2 folder.

i.e. all the root files (*component-dl and *.torrent files) go in /Applications/Starcraft II, and everything in the Updates folder goes into /Applications/Starcraft II/Updates. Then start SC2 and initiate an update. The updater should see all the patch files there so will skip the download and just go ahead and install the patch instead.

The fact that you say SC2 crashes seems like it may have an unrelated problem. Perhaps you need to reinstall, then do the above procedure?

I am having the same problem as E.Xenocide. When I open the launcher a black screen comes up followed by a prompt stating, "StarCraft 2 requires a patch. Would you like to download and install the patch now?" If you click OK the launcher quits without doing anything. There is no way to actually run the game. All my specs match the requirements stated on the battle.net web-site. I am using a macbook pro. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I am unable to use the repair tool as well as it always states it is unable to connect to the blizzard servers. I have opened all required ports and given access to all programs through my standard mac firewall.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are the ports opened on the network (meaning on a possible router) as well? If your on a campus network, your ports may be locked down by the admins. I don't know of any wowtunnels solution on the Mac... so, the more information you can give on the network would help.

I actually live in a residential building. I have att dsl unfortunately and a 2wire router. I went into the firewall settings on the router and opened the ports battle.net said would need to be opened, 3724, 1119, 1120, 6112, 6113, 6114 and 4000. I also went into the firewall settings for my mac and allowed all incoming connections for the blizzard downloader, launcher, blizzard updater, and the repair tool.

I'm having the exact same problem as you guys. I get the download and install patch message and when I click to install it, the game crashes. I suspected a port issue as well so I actually bi-passed my router all together and hard wired my connection through my isp modem. The patch still wouldn't install for me.

I'm installing on an IMac, which meets all necessary requirements. Frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
