[MAC] installation not possible...!?

Hi everyone, i just downloaded the SC2 client with a torrent (the crappy blizz downloader didn't work)
I think the whole 7,8 Gb package is fine and not corrupted, as i launch the downloader it checks it completely without errors.

    It contains these files:
    - Installer.app
    - Installer.exe
    - Installer tome1.MPQE
    - Installer UI 1.MPQ
    - Installer UI 2.MPQE

    OSX version 10.5.8
The issue is: i launch the installer.app, and nothing happens. Just the icon animation, nothing else.

(For everyone who's wandering about...i have a working account and i'm not going to crack anything :)

What shall i do? any help would be great, thank you!

A few things, are you sure you got the right client for your region? Its not a "one installation" disc fits all. Its also possible that the rip of the game doesn't have all the proper mac files. You haven't even listed the Mac folder files...

I am from italy, i downloaded the EngGB client (i'd prefer to have it in english).

Do you think the client localization really does something? uhm..

Well, you most certainly got the right client for your region of play, assuming you also purchased a enGB product key.

I have both the enGB and enUS clients, and in both, "Installer.app" isn't a file, but an entire folder. I don't know if that is because of the difference in Mac/PC or not.

So far this is the only advice I've been able to find on installing SC2 onto a Mac. I might be able to tap my Mac buddy for some advice to give up, but I won't be able to get a hold of him until tomorrow (-5 GMT).

*edit* I have found something that is completely plausible to your situation. I don't know how much you know about UNIX file permissions, but you need to chmod a few files to 755. You can find the details here. If you would have used the official Blizzard downloader, I somehow doubt you would have had this problem.

You need to be an administrator to both install and do the chmod thing.

This fix seems to have worked for a few people.
