This one goes out to all the lurkers we have.

I was perusing the Who's Online and... I messaged one of our registered lurkers, Ariano, (yeah, Ariano, I just linked your profile. Prepared for hundreds of hits. You've just been FORCED into the community ) and I realized how MANY of you guys there are.

We want to meet you! Register and get to contributing. We promise, we don't bite. Except DarkOne. And maybe Kurai. And maybe Fenix. Nevermind, we promise we won't EAT YOU. Just maybe nibble a bit...

 

Oh my.

Yes, yes.. I've been lurking on these forums for going on a year now, quite regularly. Ever since I took an interest in the development of SC2, this site has been my main source of news and general information.

I've always been highly impressed with the calibre of this site (especially in comparison to some others out there) , both in the people that run the show and the members who participate. A lot of work goes into Starcraft2Forums.org, and it really shows.

That said.. I've lurked not due to a lack of interest in participating, rather my own.. difficulties in integrating myself into new communities. Shy? Definitely, but only at first. Perhaps now that Jon's taken liberty with my safety blanket, I'll rear my face more often.

As to myself in more detail.. there's not much to say. I oft straddle the line of 'casual' and 'pro' gaming, leaning more toward the casual. I have very early memories of playing starcraft as a child-preteen, but I only took a renewed interest in the game two or so years ago.

I'm a fan of RTS's in general, with Starcraft topping the list of favorites. I do far more console gaming than PC gaming of late, mostly due to lack of very good hardware. However, I recently came into ownership of a rather good gaming-oriented PC, and I'm hopeful it will at least meet minimum system requirements for SC2.

Again, I'd like to express my high opinion of this site and its community, and I may be making my voice heard now and then. Good luck to everyone in getting into beta! (whenever that may be)

No our health plan involves a full gym membership to tone muscles, a dietitian to make sure you are eating right, and vitamins, minerals, and vaccinations to keep you healthy.

The health plan is to make you worth eating, not taking advantage of the health plan means we make hamburgers out of you instead of steaks. Of course we do ask for blood donations to sustain our undead members.

I've been reading here EVERY DAY since the announcement of SC2. I really miss the old times, when you guys have the old names, avatars and sigs.
I even remember when Paragon and Zeratul11 were active. And when Flyingtiger was making news, and he teached Nickzard how to spell pho(vietnamese rice sticks with soup). lol
