Lurker Function

    I think I have an idea how the lurker should attack in SC2. It should remain as a support unit for the zerg, staying burrowed for attacks, but instead of sending out spikes ( refer to http://www.starcraft2forum.org/forums/index.php?topic=1970.msg50192#msg50192 ) the lurker should act like one of those tunnel spiders (you get my drift) and crawl out when enemy units come by, deal several hits, and crawl back underground which would seem more realistic, believable and visually pleasing. The lurker should have the same range, however, like in SC1 if it's size is increased just about ultralisks form (if it isn't already). Above ground, the lurker should be reaver-weak (armour and health-wise) as so it cannot be a super imba unit.

    Please discuss the future of this unit as I really want these guys to return in SC2.

    i dont think they should change the lurker but rather give the hydra another transformation maybe?

    Yeah, maybe a ground to air attack unit, with a range of the spore colony.. That would be good.

    the lurker is one of these fidley units that make no sense, there will be something different.
    if you look at all the other fidley uinits ul see that they arnt coming back ( reaver, dark archon, goliath, vulture firebat etc)
    also i dont think we will see the queen again or the devourer, ultralisk and possibly even the overlord.
    (200 unit armys = how many overlords?) jsut donst seem right if you know what i mean.

    Actually I am a bit confused about the firebat. In one of the early videos we could see them

    Dude I knew it! Blizzard somehow considered giving the reaper flame throwers so there is [some] change the firebats are going to return! That's such great news man, but lets get back to the lurkers.

    that video is like 2 months old... and no flame attack for reapers at blizzcon.

    Hey I said in one of the early videos right? But maybe Blizzard has it in still. I haven't heard news like I have at the soul hunter. So I think maybe it has a chance. And I hope it either:)

    Um i saw no flame attacks from the Reapers and i've watched that at least 10 times. Maybe I'm just crazy.

    watch again..:) near the nexus on the right, from 1:11 to 1:14 attacking a phase cannon.

    I see now... how odd... well it's most likely been removed see how old the video is. but it would make an interesting upgrade.
