before the driver update i was getting 60fps in the menu's
during game play somewhere between the 40's to 50's, 60fps if i'm doing nothing
now after the driver update 30ish fps in the menu's and 30ish fps during gameplay
    vysnc on before and after
playing on ultra settings before and after
the frames seems to hover around 30 as if something is holding it back
i tested the driver with other games and benchmarks
increases across the board except starcraft2

I won't support this. Your using an unsigned beta driver. There are bound to be problems with it. Go back to the newest signed drivers 258.96.

Strange thing to not support. Hes just bringing up an issue that many could have because a lot of people will install that driver because Nvidia released it. Anyways, I had the same problem with my 460 gtx but I solved it. I changed a setting in the Nvidia control panel from "multiple monitor support" to "single monitor support" (or something named like that) and my performance is back to where it was before. I did not have this problem before I installed the latest driver.

No, its not strange at all. Its unsigned, its experimental.. if you install beta software, you could run into weird issues.. its natural. I can't offer advice on beta drivers anyway, I don't have the hardware setup to test them myself. Better of going to a place that specializes in those drivers, like http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/. If it where WHQL and signed, then yeah, I'd support it, but it isn't.

Of course you could run into weird issues. However, these are not developer drivers, they were released to the public. Many people install them because they add support for the most up to date games. You could easily have problems with the WHQL drivers too. I just dont think you should belittle a post using the latest beta drivers that numerous people will install. Its not like this is a jailbroken iphone that was hacked. These are public drivers even if not WHQL certified.

I am closing this thread, since you feel the need to talk down to a moderator who volunteers his time on this site... It's my business what I choose to support since I'm doing it for free, and as long as that is the case I will not support unsigned drivers unless its absolutely necessary, such as the legacy Catalyst drivers.

I was planning to leave this thread open in case others wanted to try beta software, but since you want to turn the conversation into something its not, I have no choice but to close this thread.

This message is brought you by TheXev, who is NOT a Blizzard employee and gets paid nothing.
