The thor must have been sped up to make it less useless against air units. I don't like its fast move speed but the idea of a mobile dedicated anti-air fort sounds nice.

And wtf is up with the creep damage question? How would it stack if creep has no degree? You either have creep somewhere, or you don't. Waste of cyberspace.

The swarm guardian is just meh. It doesn't even make sense lore-wise to be able to spawn broodlings without using a host (and being fatal to it).

All in all, there are much more important questions that need to be answered. I propose having Karune visit one fansite a week, being online and able to give immediate answers for ~30 minutes. That way we can ask proper questions (and still get the "I can't tell you that because it's subject to change" :D).

Hmm...I see abuse with the Swarm Guardian. What happens if you attack a Broodling? Two for one deal.

So they still stay with the swarm guardians i see... but dont you guys think that those swarm guardians are a bit overpowered?? unless they tell us the stats for the broodlings i'll definitely think of it as imba... its really quite ridiculous, even scientifically... how does an acid spore instantly transforms into egg hatching 2 broodlings?? even if evolution is zergs specialty, its really odd..
its good to know that the specs for starcraft 2 arent that specific as what the magazine is indicating,. coz judging from that i'll definitely see less people able to play SC2 than WC3,. the requirements are insanely pricey for someone who wants to enjoy the game that much... unless they think that everyone can easily afford those upper specs like a snap.. tnx karune

is the thors aoe affects only air units?? if so then its a force to reckon with, having thors + siege tanks = ultimate defense
i also like the change of the thors movement speed, its more of a mobile siege mode bombadeer...

i still cant figure out the medivac being an upper tier than the other infantries, they really should've separated the dropships from the medix.. or maybe they could have just made a passive upgrade for the dropship, enabling it to heal organic units while loaded in the ship...

will this really be a Q&A batch, or just some random interview.....

Ok so the Guardian basically shoots eggs which hatch upon impact. Makes sense.

    The Thor still sucks.

i like to think of it as the Gaurdian is spitting out the eggs with the acid, the eggs shell could be really tough so that the acid weakens it enough for the impact to break it apart.

It throws eggs at the enemy? Oh my! D=
Imagine the crew of the siege tank after hearing an egg break on the steel
    "forward a bit..."
    *squish*
    *chorus laughter*

No, this has to go. Not just because it's ridiculous, but also because you can use your roaches to generate a ****load of broodlings and just plow down everything.

    autocensoring ftw

its good to hear about the Thor, although i like its anti air attack, i dont want its ground atack to be totally useless, coz we have all seen the size of those cannons they should atleast do a respectable amount of damage that doesnt make the Thor overlap anything or over shine its GtAy role

The Thor is even more like the Viking now. Not amazingly great against ground but does will vs air. Its just a grouned Viking now. The Thor's concept has been lost, I say return it to its former self or scrap it.

The thor is as much versatile as the viking but in different ways to play and in different tiers so its definitely a big difference,,

    size is different
    roles are different
    strategies are different

whats the same anyway?? the fact that it is a ground mecha doesnt prove that they are the same as vikings... the concept is still there but just with a few twist to make it stand out against the most significant role comparable with the Crucio siege tank.. its basically two bombadeers with different targets, one good against ground, the other against air.. so its basically all youll ever need for support with terran sieging..

Um, okay... great about the other stuff... but it's not as big as the fact that, you know... the Mothership...

    WE HAVE RECALL! YES! YES!
... at least I'm hoping it will work like Recall.

It is hard to convey how awkward it is having a way to put units onto the battlefield, but no way to take them out... I am seriously hoping that this new Mothership ability will allow players to pull their units out of battle, as well as moving them onto the battlefield. Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease...!

    ...

And why is everyone chosing now to complain about the Swarm Guardian...? I thought it was already known that it did, in fact, spawn Broodlings with its attack...? It's not as if Broodlings are super-killers or anything... they're just cannon fodder. Think of them as the Zerg version of the Interceptor: attached to a unit with a similar role. They draw fire away from the unit that is actually dealing the damage.

I, for one, think the Swarm Guardian is great, and it's going to be hard to exploit that. I mean, the broodlings only last a few seconds, according to the answer. So if they last a few seconds, they only exist long enough to do a small bit of extra damage and confusion. So if you attack your Roaches, you'll get your 30 broodlings, but by the time they get to the enemy, they die....

At least, that's what I take from his answer.

Well, the confusion will be the biggest bonus- every Broodling spawned will draw an attack away from your more important units, and in some cases, they'll draw splash damage from things like Jackals and Siege Tanks

    @Freedom,
The current Thor is far from versatile. Its big, slow, clutters up the screen, gets in the way, ruins micro for your units, and is only worth using against clustered Mutalisks. Whats versatile about it?

i dont like the fact that the Swarm Guardian spawns them off EVERY hit. i think it the Swarm Guardian kills the unit it should spawn. The only way i see this working is if the broodling has 20 hp and a 10 second living timer.

Like Cyberpitz said, attack ur own roaches and you get free men...... is that fair? i dont think so

i just want to add the fact the auto-spreading also makes the Thor not as effective. from what i seen of auto-spreading, they only need to sit idle for about 2-5 sec. before they are quickly spread out.

UPDATE about the medics / dropship thing. (sorry i cant remember / spell the name of the unit.)
