i got my beta key earlier! i pre ordered on Feb and I got my beta key yesterday! April 20!!! I just played 5 games and now im stuck with the patch loop bug but it really works...
That has not been officially announced by Blizzard, so lets not take that "closing" date as a fact. A little less than a month for a broader beta release doesn't seem like enough time for them to balance the races and patch up the bugs for a large global mass of players.
Yeah, don't believe any dates posted other than blizzard. I remember Gamestop advertising Starcraft: Ghost saying... COMING SOON!

Of course not. Why would they know anything about when the beta ends? Sure, shops know early when the release is, because they have to stock up on copies of the game. However, such things have nothing to do with beta tests ending. It's not like the beta ends, and the game hits the stores the next day. ^^
