Just curious to see what else is out there. I don't like WoW after leveling to 80 and doing all the raids it just seems insanely boring. I fail to see this end game content as others do so I am looking for other options for MMO's. If there is such a thing (I am not sure.) is there any MMORTS? or MMOFPS out there? Or what are some other decent MMORPG's currently I am looking at anarchy online and Eve mainly because I am not to into the whole fantasy theme. Also if anyone has given Warhammer online a try can you give me some insight on what to expect?

I would stay away from EVE and anarchy online. EVE is extremely slow and methodical and very very boring in my opinion. If you thought WoW was boring, EVE will be like watching paint dry to you then.

I would recomend Warhammer online or Lord of the Rings online they are the best alternatives to WoW in my opinon. Lotro has it where you can buy the entire game and expansion for just 10 bucks and get 30 free days and it is a high quality MMO as well but more geared towards PVE content. Warhammer on the other hand is a bit more PVP oriented but it has where you can do different things and PVP also levels up your character and you can start PVP as early as you start your character. Warhammer does however have decent PVE as well.

I would say go for WAR if your more focused on PVP, or Lord of the rings online if your more PVE focused.

I am mainly looking for an MMO thats more fast paced then WoW was. The fighting sequences are too slow even in the PvP. Plus they can never seem to get their class's right to where its balanced. The PvE is boring they use the same templates (Or at least their very similar.) on every dungeon/raid. Over all its just too slow. WAR did interest me mainly because of the PVP but do they have larger battle or are the size of the battles they have there about the same size.

Give Guild Wars a try, though it might be hard to get started this late since it's been out for a while.

Guild wars is fast paced. And the Pvp is just awesome. . . Not hard to get started at all. Imo it's way better than Wow. And, it being our for a while means it's cheaper

I am choosing between Guildwars and War but honestly I really like the idea of getting experience for PvP. Also if I were to choose guildwars which expansion would be the best? Or should I go ahead and try guild wars 2?

There really is no MMO out there that is more fast pace than WoW, except maybe for Guild Wars but it gets kinda old fast. As for best expansion, I would say the original with eye of the north but if your gonna be a serious Guild Wars player you need all 3 of them for the content and abilites. Each expansion of Guild Wars has its own set of abilites for all the different classes and you can only use 8 at a time so its about different combos of abilites and stats and if you don't have access to all abilites you wont be able to do some builds for PVP and PVE.

I have all of the expansion packs for Guild Wars and even then you can go through it all pretty quickly.

Guild Wars also isn't as immersive or have enough depth or scale like most other MMOS in my opinion.

Also Guild Wars 2 isn't even out yet, so you can't try it.

If you want combat, try Conan. Supposedly it's not so great, but the combat is totally different.

You might maybe try Savagery, it's kinda an RTS/RPG. It's pretty fast paced.

Trust me, you do NOT want to try Conan. I tried it out at launch with a couple friends of mine and it was terrible. The only thing that its got going for it is the combat system that is cool for a little while but the rest of the game is garbage thats all I can say about it.

Since launch they have lost tons of users and had to shut down a lot of servers and they have been trying to get people to play it with free time deals and in game items etc. They are pretty desperate to get people back and I'm surprised they havn't shut down yet.

You sure about it? I know about all the problems they've had, but I've heard the game got better after all.

Don't suppose there's an MMO like Fallout is there? Reaching for the sky but that would be a cool theme. Basicly I just want to get out of these fantasy MMO's and get something different. WoW just bores me to much because I don't like the combat system. Plus I am not too sure about the others you guys have posted because they sound pretty much like the same thing. I've heard of one called manga or something that has a anime feel to the art work but also is more into present day/future. Has anyone heard about this?

Reaching for the sky? What? Flyff? :D

I'd play Warhammer, I was thinking about buying it then realized, I would wast my money since I probably wouldn't play it enough.

Ive tried that. Another thing I've also looked into is the WoW private servers. They are kind of fun with all the boosts and not having to spend a month getting to a decent lvl so i can enjoy the game. But still the same problem. Its boring.. The whole thing isn't fast paced enough. But yeah I've tried city of heroes when it first started before the whole villain thing.. Is it still any good or not worth the time :p
