    I've been standing for about nine hours straight now, and my knees are REALLY hurting. I need something to stop that.

    Rules:
    1. No meds. Most painkillers have blood thinners and that's a major nono for me.
    2. I have to be able to work. So no lying down, taking a bath, that kinda stuff.
    3. I can't go out and buy most items. I have one 15 minute break that I haven't used yet, so I can run to other stores (I work in a mall) but not enough time to leave the mall, go somewhere, look for something, buy it, then come back.

    You should complain... Say the workplace should provide seats, I know it won't help you now but it will in the future... Tell them if you receive an injury from all this standing they'd be liable for the damage done...

    So yeah, totally get legal on their ass...

    Ha ha, funny story there Sim.

    Except it's not funny at all.

    Our floor is slanted. Like...Across the store, which is far longer than it is wide, there's a one foot drop. That wreaks havoc on my already iffy knees.

    Woo legal battles between RadioShack and the GPP

    I have found the best thing is not to stand in one place. Even if you are confined to a 1 square foot box move around in it, bend your knees, and every few minute shift your weight between sides.
