Leaked! Exclusive new units video

Ych9 just found an interesting video on You-Tube.

We all know that PC Gaming magazine had an exclusive interview with Blizzard and they were going to release the issue on August. But wait no more. I think this is one of the leaked videos.

Some interesting things:

Notice, the Carrier has been replaced by the Tempest. Looks like a weaker version because in the last scene, you can see that it dies to 1 Yamato cannon blast. Makes sense now because since Protoss got the Mothership, I think the BattleCruiser should be the second strongest unit. Tempest is looking very sweet. Looks very ProtossLike, and much better than the Blimpy Carriers IMO.
Archon is back too and renamed to Twilight Archon. Last scene, you can see that someone froze the bunkers. I might be an ability of the Archons.
Reaver seems to be making a comeback, as you can see in the last scene.
Photon Cannons can move. Sounds very interesting. And during that scene, you can clearly see that Reapers are acting like Firebats. I think maybe Reapers can switch between dual pistols and flame throwers depending on the situation? Sounds like a very unique concept.

Awesome find. Archons looked kind of weird though, reminded me of WC3.

I like the Archon's new look. And the Storm Hunters....Did they seem rather overpowered to you?

Hehe the Archons are cool, their stance just reminded me of Infernals from WC3.

And yeah, the Hunter thingies seemed crazy.

Oh....I think I get the Soul Hhnters now....Damage rises exponentially for how many there are. In the clip, it shows just one attacking something, with a small beam, but more join in and the beam just gets massive.

Sounds just like that scene in Ghost Busters where they cross the beams of their "guns".

well, that more or less killed about they way we thought the game was gonna be, colussus and reavers, warp rays and tempests, waht does a soulhunter actually do.

are all photons cannons gone now?
are they all warp/phase cannons?
Phase prism into an enemy base, drop a bunch of phase cannons, gg

i noticed the shell type sheilding on the tempest, but then it got taken away, but there still appeared to be a smaller sheild around it, im wondering if the larger sheild is a general special ability.

the reaver moves a bit faster as well

The phase cannons look different from the photon cannons in the gameplay trailer. The phase cannons have blue in the center below the firing part while the photon cannons have those spinning gold bars.
The Soul Hunters look kind of ridiculous. Like a protoss riding an electronic hover-horse. The hovercraft seems way to small compared to the size of the protoss and he doesn't seem to have legs...
The Tempests look cool but I think they only have 1 shield, its just that they chose to give it a different looking shield. Also, when the one Tempest explodes, there are 12 smaller explosions from it's fighters so this suggests that it can hold at least 12.
Perhaps the Twilight Archon is a mix between Dark and High Templar...

where are the dark templars? dont tell me that they are all already extinct.

soul hunter reminds me of the silver surfer. i think if carrier was included in starcraft 2 it would look exactly like the tempest but bigger. 8)

That's what I plan on doing, and I never read that mag... Their exclusive interview was an incredibly good marketing decision, as was leaking this low quality copy

I think every video uploaded on video stream web sites loses its quality after being converted to flv file type, anyway the video looks very interesting, I wish they could release more videos that highlights other races

niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiicccccccccccccccccce FIND!! YEAH!! man, i'm getting more and more addicted to this game... the tempests look GREAT, much better than what i expected them to be... to heck if their weaker, i thought they were taking away the carriers once and for all...

seems that ever since the protoss homeworl has been overtaken, the high templars have to choice but to lean on the help of the exiled dark templars... think about it, more and more units and turning purple (yellow for the high templar, and purple for the dark templars), like the tempest and the stalker... twilight archons, if it is really the fusion of a light templar and a dark templar, it also goes to show that the high templars and the dark templars are finally co-operating more.

simply love the tempest's new look... now that i recall, in starcraft brood war the dark templars were quite unrepresented other than the dark archon and the templar... so now that aiur has been overtaken, seems that blizzard is bringing more and more of their impact on the protoss race into play... man, this is going to create some good storylines, even if they have trouble balancing the game...

not too sure whether i like the soul hunters though... doesn't really seem practical to me.

can't wait for starcraft 2 to be released.
