So, Zerg are advanced insects and they all hatch out of eggs which are morphed from Larva...but...where do Larva come from? I couldn't figure it out. Anyone know? EDIT: Fixed my grammar, sorry. Duno wtf I was thinking
The Xel'Naga created the zerg and in such created the larva and the overmind. Even if they didn't at first create the larva considering a hatchery produces larva it is a safe bet the overmind could as well so it wouldn't really matter. Edit: I'm not sure if I answered your question but I couldn't tell what "when fo Larva come with" was asking so I kind of guessed.
The larva is basically a larger version of the original Zerg parasite. I think Larva's hatch from eggs inside the Hatchery. Its definitely weird to have the life cycle as Egg > Larva > Egg > Mature Being but its a whole lot better than having to see a unit named Zerg Pupa.
The ''egg'' from which the larva turn into any other form is more like a pupa, so I guess they metamorphisize. Egg > Larva > Pupa > Unit > Protective Cocoon > Mutated Unit I guess egg just simplifies it. :]
i though the larva were just born out of the hatchery from the tubes in the side at least thats what i think they are
I've read Star Craft Liberty's Crusade book, and there they found the larvas hanging upside down a hatchery. That makes me think that the hatchery produces them, but i don't think they are hatched from eggs. Maybe they are parts of the hatchery at first, and they reproduce after morphed.
o yea i remember that they like walked into a cave at like a battle an tarsonis or somthing like that i cant remember so well
Duno why I didn't think to look it up before. I just get fathom Zerg buildings being big stationary units, but I guess they are. So the hatchery just gives birth to 'em. Thanks all.
