Hello, I am looking to buy a laptop (as I am off to uni) in the near future and wanted one that was able to play Starcraft 2 and maybe a few other games but probably not very many as I will have my xbox. My budget is around £800 but can stretch a bit further. I’ve found a Dell Studio 17 for £829 with the following specifications:

    PROCESSOR - Intel® Core™ i5-540M (2.53Ghz, 4 Thread, turbo boost up to 3.06 GHz, 3MB cache)
OPERATING SYSTEM - Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64bit- English
    MEMORY - 4096MB 1067MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [2x2048]
HARD DRIVE - 500GB (7,200rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive
GRAPHICS CARD - 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5650 Graphics Card

How well do you think this will be able to run games?

Any advice would be much appreciated

looks like that is more than enough buddy. I have Radeon HD 5450 and it is struggling a bit, but I'm sure that will do a lot better.

That is the main drawback of a Laptop is going to be the Graphics card, IMO I would just get the best value laptop with the best possible GPU I could find, of course within reason I wouldn't get a 400MHZ processor with 1byte of ram that had 4 x GTS 450's in it lol.
