Hello, I just picked up Starcraft 2 today, and things were working fine until I entered a skirmish. Randomly during the skirmish my keyboard will stop functioning, then begin working again. Upon exiting the game, it starts working again fine. I do not understand this problem and am wondering if anyone else is having issues. It could be my keyboard as it is about 9 years old, but I want to know if this is an existing issue before I spend money on a new keyboard.
I have the same bug today when i played RT game on russian battle.net , but i saw this bug in beta too ... Very strange bug , my keyboard is down and only mouse can click... and one function alt + g pointer , then i push alt + tab and cant even ctrl+alt+delete ... computer just freezed and only mouse are moving.. sorry for bad english ... My first feeling about it was omfg its hack or wtf ? =) But its very very rare bug .....
What interface are your keyboards using, USB or PS/2? If they are USB, finding a newer USB driver may help.
USB 1.1 perhaps, but USB hub 2.0 drivers have generally been a part of chipset drivers. Intel's are easy to get, but other chipset manufactures require the original motherboard disc and to get update drivers, that disc usually requires checking, unless you store bought your computer. Now with USB 3.0 machines coming out, having the correct drivers gets even more important.
TheXev, I think this is sc2 related issue. I had it also like two times, but then I pressed ctrl, then alt, then windows, got back to game (fullscreen window) and it works fine :f Anyway, kb was working fine in other apps, just sc2 has sometimes issues with SOME keys (F10 works, but letters and numbers not). It's like it thinks that either ctrl, alt or windows is pressed down until you hit and release it again.
