Just a warning for people who like playing Tower Defense...

or any other UMS maps... this crap will stress your computer like crazy. you might want to turn down settings or build your comp to higher specs.

mine is over-specced (quad core 2.66Ghz, radeon 5850 overclocked to 850mhz core, 8GB RAM) and obviously it plays regular games without the slightest hiccup. but loading those tower defense maps... with 10000 units on the field and crazy stuff happening, i still get laggy. lol.

 

for me on 3v3 or 4v4 with mass units i had super lag issues, I was on a P4 3.0D now that ive upgraded I still have a bit of lag issues not terrible but I think im on 1600x1200 res or something on high

 

Do you have a replay of that? Sounds like it'll make for a nice benchmark.

 

i don't think i saved that particular game, but i'm sure i'll come across another crazy one soon. i'll record it if i remember to, lol.

 

the only issue i have right now is if i try to multi task it takes like 1 minute or load timing is not the best. are those tasks ram dependant, seeing as I only have 2gb of 6400 on winxp?
