    As an observer, ofc.
Does anyone know if this will be possible with the barnd-new and totally awesome battle.net? It doesn't seem impossible

It doesn't, although I can see ADD people joining random games and chat spamming it, which effectively makes players mute all the observers. Then again normally observers wouldn't chat with players.

I would think this will get implemented along with an easy way of kicking and banning. For example in LFS once a person starts a kick/ban vote the others only need to press 1 on their keyboards. It shouldn't distract the players too much.

It is certainly not a technical impossibility, but I believe we've already heard a "no" from Blizzard.

It's possible, but I'm pretty sure that the fans will say no. Therefore Blizzard will say no, unless Blizzard creates a function that you can toggle on and off for allowing your game to be joined when it is already in progress, which would be nice.

The observers shouldn't be able to talk to the players anyway, so I don't see a problem with them joining mid game and "Chat spamming". They would only need to add a mute option to the other observers. Much like in FPS games, you can chose to mute anybody you want.

It would give players a chance to study possible strategies that people use, then adapt.
Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

But it is also true that if a player disconnect it should be great that he could try to come back, even if he'll probably die into the minut

This would be good if you get on battle.net and then find your friends are in some big epic game...and you wanna play with them but you've gotta wait until their game is finished. You'd wanna join mid-game and spectate to see how things are going.

It would be OK if spectators couldn't chat to the players. You could probably still whisper to your friends.
