What do you all think of Jimmy's new voice? I liked Jimmy's old voice. It was well acted, and it's the voice we all associate with him. I don't know why Blizzard would change it, but according to Wiki, some of the people at Blizzard really like the new voice actor they have, and are considering replaceing the voice actor from Starcraft 1. Makes me nervous to be honest, I loved Jimmy's old voice, and I would hate to see it get changed.
Well Chris Metzen said that the new voice is closer to what he originally intended for Jim Raynor. However, he realizes the nostalgia that we have with Raynors old voice is important. Even though i like the new guy having Raynors old voice is very important to me. I heard that he died? Jack Ritschel. On imdb they say it was James Harper. Lots of confusion here. On the plus side, we got Kerrigan's actor back.
Heh, if they hired a new voice actress for Kerrigan in SC2, all zerg would brake loose. Her voice got a lot personality. Of course, all the voices do. Too bad that the guy that did Zeratuls and Dukes voices died.
Yup. Also, most of the protoss unit voices are a little different. Protoss won't sound the same. The dragoon voice was a little badass... They should keep its style, give it to Immortals...
Awww, I had no idea he had passed away, that's so sad.... I always thought Zeratuls voice was cool. He had that "Don't f*ck with me" attitude down pat. Such a shame.
yah zeratul was the best actor in starcraft 1 and BW. they should get a better replacement. hey gradius of blizzforums.. heheh. nice seeing you here. ^^
zeratul was sick jimmy was awesome also kerrigan was...eh...not bad isnt the jimmy the same jimmy as before? i mean the actor for the character
It is the same actor, but Blizz found another guy that impersonated Jimmy better in their opinion, so we can't be 100% sure about his voice.
WOW! Does that mean we'll get our old Jimmy back? I hope so. While I don't really have a problem with the new voice, like most people I got used to the old one and associate more with Starcraft.
I think I like the new voice. It's grown on me after a while. For the situation Raynor's in right now, I think this voice suits him better than the old one.
