Is there anyone else here who has the same attitude? This game was announced in 2007. They've been developing it since 2003, with the exception of one year that they had to work on World of Warcraft. I mean, I know that Blizzard takes it time in releasing stuff. And when they do release something, then it's awesome, even if it takes them forever and a day to release it. I respect their work ethic, especially when the end result is awesome. But after such a long wait, I'm a bit wary. They might be working this project right into the ground. It might be a bit like Guns N' Roses "Chinese Democracy," you know? They spend 10 years recording the thing, and when it finally is released it's a pile of crap. And I'm a bit tired of Blizzard going back on their word. Remember their announcement of a 2008 to 2009 release? How about that of a Summer 2009 beta? I signed up for Beta on May 9th, at 2:31 PM Pacific time. And I've checked my email every single day since then, except for the end of December, because they postponed it yet again. And as for the restrictions that they'll be placing on LAN (That is, if they even have LAN) will be unnecessary. LAN parties are my favorite part of StarCraft. Bleh. What am I doing here, anyways? I'm in the midst of the most diehard StarCraft fans there are. Haha. Most of you probably won't agree with me. But I really doubt I'll be buying any of the 3 games on their release dates. I might ask someone for it for my 18th birthday, if it comes out by June, which doesn't look too bright a hope. Any thoughts? Also, I apologize if a similar topic to this one has been made before. I will remove it if any administrator wishes.
You're a newer member, so you've probably not noticed. I've gone, in order, from OMGSC2!!! to Man, this is fun watching Blizzard make a game to Oh, hey, they changed the Mutalisk model. Again. to This is a pretty fun place to post at. I'm still excited about SC2, I'll prolly obtain it within around a month of release (Local game stores don't even realize PC gaming exists and Steam is the only online service I use) but you can only anticipate a game for so long before it's pushed to the backburner in favour of more...imminent releases.
i think they should stop postponing it and stop procrastinating the way i am with building my tf2 sentry (propably wont get done). anyway enough of the frekin WOW excuses i like WOW but not enough to buy it. however when sc2 comes out i will ill buy it a year later most likely because of prices. if they mad a starcraft mmo i would most definitly pay unless it was a rediculus price like $50 (US) for the game itself and another $25(US) as a monthley fee.
I lol'd at Fenix's post. Especially the whole motivation thing. I feel exactly the same. So yeah, in short: That.(what Fenix said)
AVP is out? :O that thing looks gorgeous and so dumbed down to children it makes me want to play it for 10 minutes. As for SC2, I'm sure Blizzard has something to do with my losing interest but as a matter of fact real life also occupies me so I don't even fantasise about SC2 now not that I ever did <.< But interestingly I still plan to buy it relatively soon after release, along with my new system to run it. I might back down on both though my problem is that not occupying myself with SC related things has resulted in my not even missing it. Maybe you should try that too... it certainly makes the wait more than bearable.
what are you talking about kuvas, AVP isn't out next till next month and are you talking about the one being made by rebellion? If so, you've got the wrong info.
I don't play anything at the moment and debate with religious people over the internet. You should try it sometimes: I gurantee you it will take your mind off SC2 for quiet a while. (Then again it might take your mind off completely)
I never really get hyped, so looking forward doesnt get away as quickly either. I am still looking forward as much, if not more, to the release of SC2.
