    That would be cool as an idle animation though, marines talking to each other on the radio.It makes you think a group of marines really are a squad.

    It might be blizzard hinting at some new ability for marines, like moving the drop-pod to them. Of course, it might just be a standing still animation or something, I really dunno.

    I think his standing still, just has one leg forward, like the one to the left of him.
    It'd be cool if they had cooperating idle animations, like two marines talking to each other

    Yeah. That would be cool. I'd still like the marines to have an ability with a radio ;).

    Serious guess; It might be something you see on stimmed marines.

    Unserious guess; This is my conclusion;
    The Viking to the right shot it! Just look at the smoke coming from the gatling gun!!!
    What we see on the Marine is sparks from the hit!

    YES! It fits here much better. Marine supports marine :)

    Perhaps this is some kind of graphical realism, that makes the first marine in your group to get these 'stuff' signaling your command arriving on the radio. Whenever one clicks, these appear as a message being received by their radio. I would assume that.

    Nah, Gasmaskguy's idea seems to be the most feasible one. The Viking probably wanted to go astray and the player must have clicked it and performed an attack-move and accidentally clicked on the Marine.

    But the one aiming at him is the other marine! Check it out! He's the one that could have accidentally hit him.

    What? Neither of the units aim at that Marine. The Viking with the smoke coming from its chain gun shot the Marine, the player gave a 'stop' order to the Viking so it stayed looking in the direction the Marine was in when it shot it and the Marine kept on walking without returning fire because it was shot by an ally.

    Ok, wait till I circle it in the paint and edit it here.

    EDIT: Here you go, the red circle is at the marine I meant. The red lines represent the direction each would be pointing at.

    If you look carefully at the viking, you can see it's preparing to fire, or just stopped firing. I think the units are just seconds away from enemy contact, so the viking might already be firing.

    considering the viking to the left, there's an enemy siege tank or other artillery nearby
