I bought my game as a digital download from Blizzard. But as far as I can tell there is no real manual with this game. Is that true? Am I just missing it somehow? Shouldn't the game at least provide a brief "list of characters" and describe their capabilities? Or a description of the weapon types, etc.? I'm having to figure this out as I go by reading hints of all things, and that is taking too long. If the game doesn't provide a manual, can someone point me to an Internet source where such basic things? Any help would be appreciated! jdrake
I don't think there's an A-Z guide on Starcraft 2. You can read this though, to get a general idea on how to play multiplayer:- http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/939643-starcraft-ii-wings-of-liberty/faqs/60593
Yes there is no manual, You see blizzard is jaded by success and have forgotton the basics to making a game Such as no manual no control over your lobby no chat rooms. No FPS limiter (hence why SC2 is murdering some video cards) banning people on bnet forums because they tell them how it is (was banned myself within 8 hours of release for saying these things) Blizzard needs to get back to basics cause god damn :/
*facepalm* There is a manual. What terrible misinformation this forum is plagued by. It is amazing that people come here for information. @LunaticWoda: You're a immature whiner. Keep your hissy fits away from the internet please.
Lol there is no manual I have the regular edition maybe the special edition you got has one? my SC2 game box came with the following... 1 SC2 pouch with the SC2 DVD along with CD-key 2. came with 2 WoW Buddy keys 3. Came with 2 SC2 buddy keys 4. a SC2 notepad and the box and that is it @Deckard Lee They arnt doing alot right the main reason I bought SC2 sure as hell wasnt for the story OR the gameplay OR because its Starcraft I bought it for the mod community for things such as Tower Defense which Blizzard didnt make Its ashame that Blizzard gets all the credit for SC being so successful when in reality its the mod community that has made this medicore game into a major hit
the regular edition has a manual... but it just has "how to install" instructions and some backstory.
i bought mine in a store. obviously if you downloaded your version you don't get one. i also got a notepad and a CD too. herp derp.
http://eu.battle.net/sc2/en/game/ List af charecters, planets, Beginners guide, Races, Lore and the official forums. (quite filled with QQ and nerdrage btw) I think they link to it from the game.
Remember when games came with a huge color glossy manual, a plastic unit "cheat sheet" and, for some games, a map of game areas? Now, we get digital downloads and a pdf file, maybe.
Well some people prefer manuals, I don't care cause I don't read 'em. I just get into the game and play, did that with the original Starcraft. Though what Blizzard should have done was at least have made a digital copy which would come with each game on an extra CD. Would have been nice. Either way the manual really doesn't matter, unless your TOTALLY clueless about the game (but Internet solves that lol).
