For me the two biggest ones are the siege tanks on ledges (especially in the Lost Temple), and the psi storm from templars.

Now the Templars were nerfed to some degree (they do 80 damage now rather than 112) and their target area is a bit more difficult to manage. But still, I've only seen them used a handful of times in the beta.

With siege tanks, other than doing a push into someones base or being used as base defenses, no one seems to be using them. I remember the days when people would rush to tanks and drop one on the ledge behind someones main base. And if I'm not mistaken, siege tanks in siege are actually stronger now than in the original.

    What about you?

Given smartcasting and the higher speed of high templar, I'm a bit surprised at the low use of Psi Storm. I guess the low AoE, and the fact that units tend not to actually die under just one Storm, convinces people not to use them.

As for siege tanks, they're not stronger in siege mode. They do 50 flat damage now. They used to deal (equivalent) 35 + 35 vs explosive. Against most late game unit types, they're weaker.

no one drops units next to siege tanks to get them to kill themselves because of the better AI, i guess...

The same basic strategies are there, just different units to fill the niche.

I am surprised I don't see early drop based strategies as much now. Part of that is either due to tech tree changes or missing units (like reavers) I suppose.

Terran mech builds seem a lot less common too, which is too bad. I get tired of seeing MMM all the time.

And there is a bunch of stuff I miss. Especially lurker based strategies (sleeping lurkers, lurker elevator, etc).

edit: I've also noticed a lot of people don't seem to know how to aim psi-storm. The 3d modeling throws them off and they aim too far northward a lot.

mech seems more common in the asia servers, going by the replays. but doom drops in general seem to have died out... they seem pretty rare. maybe because the transporters all have new secondary functions.

If a Terran player has a medivac he/she is most likly going to stick to 3M as it's far less risky as it's been proven to work so well. My guess is that we will see more wild play a few months after release as people get bored and want to experiment with other strats.

The lack of Terran mech seems odd as fast Cobras can mess with a number or Protoss and Zerg builds. I think it's because the Goliath is out for the Thor. I don't see many Thors.
