Is the Immortal the Replacement for the Dragoon?

so i guess immortals are more or less the same with dragoons right?

Welcome to the forums

Yes the Dragoon has been replaced by the Immortal and the stalker(some kind of dark dragoon)
As far as I know, the immortal can only hit ground units and they are very strong against heavy artilery like the Siege Tank. The stalker can hit both land and air targets.

There is in fact a vidoe by blizzard that elaborates on those units. They shoed it in Korea aftr announcing SC2
I do believe that makes this a repeat topic. The answer can be found EVERYWHERE anyway

so in SC2, we can't produce a lot of Immortals to flight as we did in SC1 whlie we can choose Dragoons as a main unit to filght.

and sure the stalker won't do too much as well......

Here is how it works.

The stalker takes the goons preiviousl position of being a general purpose unit and should be used in a similar way.

The immortal is meant for cracking defensive lines nameley tank firebases

Dragoon = Stalker and Immortal.

Stalker: The versatile unit of the Protoss army (hits ground and air). Simply a faster Dragoon with the ability to teleport.
Immortal: Slow assult unit with powerful guns and shield, has a secondary shield which activates when hit by a powerful attack for example tanks but it can't attack air units.
