In WoW, one of the items in the WWI goodie bag is 'Tyreal's Hilt'....Yes, that's right, our freaking awesome Tyreal from Diablo. It summons a mini-pet (Non-combat) form of Tyreal. Check out some pics here.
This... Is... AWESOME! Almost worth buying last minute tickets and flying all the way over to America just to have been able to get it. How on Earth is it an insult to Diablo fans? Awesome model of an awesome character with an awesome dance. They should rename it 'Awesomeness Incarnate'.
How on Earth is it hideous? If you think it's hideous, then you'd have to think Tyrael from Diablo's hideous. It's an awesome model.
Tyrael looked powerful and menacing in Diablo. That model's not even close. It's like looking at Mini-Me.
see? WoW ruins the lore! how does this even make sense??? lol j/k but yes it is hideous, somewhat cute though...
I think the proportions are not right, which make it look cartoonish and funny. Tyrael is anything but funny. But it's Blizzard, so I'm used to such caricatures of their own creations.
@ Wlck. Small pets aren't supposed to look powerful and menacing. What you;re saying is basically like saying you don't like anything cartoony, because it looks to cartoony. It's not supposed to be an identical replica of Diablo's Tyrael... It's a vanity pet, not the archangel. @ overmind. I still don't see how you can think it's hideous without thinking Tyrael's hideous. @ kuvasz. The proportions are supposed to be like that. Tyrael might be anything but funny, but vanity pets are anything but anything but funny... i.e. Vanity pets are funny.
That's what I meant with the second part of my post, I just didn't know the term. *assimilates vanity pet into vocab* *hisses at Itza for pointing out language barrier*
Haha. Not really anything to do with the language barrier. Vanity pet is just a WoW term. Synonymous with small pet, mini pet, non-combat pet, etc. Unless you're referring to the language barrier between WoWers and non-WoWers.
