Hello, i bought SC 2 from a gamestop two days ago and i just got around to installing today.Well i get to the mid 50% and it gives me a error code 5 the one with the corrupt disc (The installer was unable to read the file "Repack-MPQ\fileset.enUS#Campaigns#Liberty.SC2Campaign#enUS.SC2Assets\Assets\Textures\video_newsreport_tstory18_00.ogv". This error may be caused by problems with the media or drive at F:\--for example, a scratched or dirty CD-ROM/DVD-ROM, hard drive corruption, or a networking problem while downloading the installer. (The error code was 5.) If this problem persists, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (ReadJob::Execute)

So, i waited about 4-5 hours to DL the game from battle.net and of course it stops at the same point in the installation with the same error code...What can i do now?

Make sure the SC2 disc is out of the drive when you run the DLed game installer. It should install just fine after that.

If you've already done that, try the following...

First thing I want you can do after posting the dxdiag here(Click here to learn how to make/post a dxdiag), is to open a command prompt and run check disk. TO do that:
    1. Run CMD as administrator (follow instructions)

    2. Once CMD is open as an admin, type "chkdsk c:" and let it run. If errors are reported, run "chkdsk c: /f" and when it can't force 'all open handlers' closed, keep pressing yes until it presents you the option of running on boot. Once you know chkdsk will run on boot, restart the computer.

Let me know if that doesn't work! We'll solve this thing!

At the bolded & underlined part.. how does that work? I tried doing that and it says to insert the CD back into the drive.

If you downloaded the installer, run it without the disc in the drive, it shouldn't ask for the disc since it already has all the of the files downloaded.
