Install crashes CPU, then Disk Boot Failure

    Hey guys,

I tried to install SC2 today, about 10% in the computer crashed. It would then stop at "DISK BOOT FAILURE" when attempting to boot from hard drive.

I have a split, single hard drive which became a 100 Gb C:/ and a 350 Gb E:/ after partition.

I'm above recommended specifications for the game, with an intel Core 2 Duo 3.0 Ghz processor and 3.5 Gb Ram (32-bit OS) and a Radeon 512 Mb 4800 series HD video card.

I've tried changing my booting device, but the problem still came up.
I've unplugged the Power supply and re-plugged it in to get my computer to boot normally.

Anyone knows what's going on? I'm thinking about formatting the whole thing and purchasing a new hard drive, which I won't split, and installing Windows 7 instead of 32-bit XP.

    Thanks in advance!

    Cordially,
    Dax

What brand is the hard drive in your machine? Might want to nab a hard drive utility and see if the drive has failed or is in prefailer.
