Presented by Rob Pardo, we get a glimpse of the Blizzard campus. Very interesting, although I'm a bit sad for them choosing a warcraft statue as the final addition.

Well, Warcraft is what made them big, plus most StarCraft things wouldn't look to good in bronze.

I love how they have a gym though. Cause video game makers, they're known for their in-shape'ness.

I agree with you Fenix. But to me and many people I know it's SC and Diablo 1 that hooked us on the Blizzard Games. But I agree WC things look better is Bronze or stone. And you poking at the fitness of Game Devs? Yeah A gym in there would do them a world of good.

[edit]After watching that twice I really think that's a nice insight into their little world. And gee my workplace doesn't have even 1/2 of those facilities. Those Blizzard people are really working in style.

Yeah it was pretty impressive. It's a lot cooler if you like World of WarCraft because about 80% of everything they have is WoW related.

There's a huge mural in the cafeteria that is totally WoW... Not that impressive for an SC fan.

An SC statue would kick ass, yes, but bronze is a very primitive metal....Old time-y stuff fits so much better in it. For instance, which would look better: A bronze carriage+horses stature, or a statue of a Corvette?

Fenix is right. Even if a bronze StarCraft statue would look awesome, WarCraft is what made them popular. For example, if had been something like Tolkien's headquarters, you'd expect to see something along the lines of The Hobbit or Lord of the Rings, and not a character from one of his children's books or something. Along similar lines, that would be why the statue is of an Orc, and not a Night Elf or similar.

Marble sucks for statues. It just looks way too white. Bronze compliments all the details and stuff so much better than marble. Marble's just far too smooth and shiny.

Something Warcraft related is definitely better than something Starcraft related, as Warcraft is what made them famous, and they have a lot more Warcraft fans (including WoW) than Starcraft fans. It just makes sense for it to be something WoW'ish.
If they really wanted to please as many as possible though, they should have gone with an orc and a human in the middle of a battle.
An orc on a wolf probably makes more sense though since the focus lies on this single thing, while my suggestion would have people looking back and forth between the two combatants.
